The detail

Immerse yourself in the majestic Italian landscapes with a stay at this boutique B&B in the breath-taking Umbrian hillsides. Picture crumbling medieval towns nestled amongst blossoming vineyards and you’ve captured the very essence of this spellbinding region. Aromatic olive groves line the flourishing rural scenes, while atmospheric lanterns lead you through the historic streets. Mysterious passageways and secret doors hide the ancient village ways and can take you on a different journey each and every day.

The Ostello Diffuso rooms are real hidden treasures that are spread across two culturally significant buildings in Torre Del Colle village. Both of the stone buildings have rich and interesting histories and are brimming with enigmatic stories and local legends. Choose from the 10th century School House or the old village Emporium and you’ll be treated to a striking fusion of contemporary art and tradition.

The Schoolhouse rooms are artistic delights and include four double bedrooms with unique classroom themes. Sleep in the biology room or the colourful art studio, or try the gym hall or the physics laboratory. With clever little details and distinctive touches, each of the rooms offers something different. The rooms also have their own funky, en-suite bathrooms with bold painted walls and a creative finish.

Just a few streets away you’ll find the gorgeous little emporium that has two double en-suite rooms and two, four person bunk bedrooms. With original beamed ceilings and exposed stone features, the rooms have a rustic simplicity and comfortable furniture. Sumptuous beds are topped with crisp white linen, while quaint shuttered windows look out over the mountains. Both of the buildings also have spacious communal hubs with well-equipped kitchens and cosy living areas.

Torre Del Colle is a tiny Umbrian village that has a small population of longstanding Italian families. Its local restaurant is brimming with an authentic character and serves delicious home-cooked foods and full-bodied wines. The remarkable town of Bevagna is just a ten minute drive away, while the beautiful towns of Assisi, Spello and Montefalco can also be found nearby.
