Set on a working beef and sheep farm in North Wales, The Wonder Wagon is a creatively converted trailer that provides luxury accommodation for two. Once part of the fleet at the local steelworks, The Wonder Wagon is now unrecognisable after being fitted with a modern kitchen, living room, a luxurious ensuite bedroom and an alfresco bath. The farm’s owners are always looking to recycle where they can and you’ll find that the conversion was done with sustainability in mind. You’ll find natural materials, repurposed scaffolding boards and whisky barrels, all complementing the rural setting.
Inside, you’ll find a relaxing space that immediately helps you settle in with the natural surroundings. There’s a comfy living area where you can put your feet up after a long day of exploring next to a well-equipped kitchen with everything you could need to cook up some delicious feasts. On sunny days, take the cooking outside and enjoy a barbecue out on the decking.
The cosy double bedroom with its rich wooden tones and luxurious bed complete with mattress topper will be waiting after a day of hiking or sightseeing. There’s an ensuite with a power shower and a flushing loo and some sumptuous fluffy towels. Tucked out of sight outside on the decking, there’s a lovely freestanding bathtub with handmade copper taps and plenty of bubble bath waiting for you. The rural location means that there’s very little light pollution in the area, so run yourself a bath in the evening and lie back as the stars put on a show for you.
Trelan Farm is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the foothills of Moel Famau in North Wales. This is a popular area with walkers and hikers and if you reach the summit of Moel Famau, you’ll be rewarded with some truly spectacular views. Snowdonia National Park is within easy reach, as are some of the beautiful Welsh beaches. There are also some pretty market towns nearby, like the medieval Ruthin which is home to Wales’ oldest timber-framed houses. There are some great pubs serving up hearty meals in the area too and The White Horse Inn is within walking distance.
