The Wee Beehive is a charming wooden cabin located in the Cairngorms National Park, a stone’s throw from the River Don. This romantic cabin is perfect for couples looking to get away from it all and explore some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery. Finish long days exploring the Cairngorms with a soak in the wood-fired hot tub or by toasting marshmallows over a fire back at The Wee Beehive.
The main room of the cabin is a cosy hideaway for two with warm and welcoming decor in a shabby-chic style. There’s a luxurious king-size bed made up with high-quality linen, a kitchenette and a small living area. A smart TV is all set up with Netflix for evenings in or for when the Scottish weather isn’t at its best. Central heating will keep you warm and comfortable whatever the weather outside.
There are a table and chairs indoors and another set outdoors so you can sit out on sunny days. The kitchenette is equipped with the basics to get you going, such as a microwave, toaster and a kettle. There’s a separate kitchen which is shared with other guests that is equipped with a hob, oven and fridge. The ensuite bathroom features a walk-in shower and has been thoughtfully decorated with details like copper taps and a beautiful antique-style sink.
Outside, the cabin has its own private space with a barbecue fire pit and a seating area. There’s also a two-person wood-fired hot tub where you can sit back and relax after a busy day’s exploring. Due to low levels of light pollution, the Cairngorms is one of the best places in the UK to see the stars, so sit out in the evening on a clear night by your firepit or in the hot tub and do a spot of stargazing.
The Cairngorms National Park is the perfect location for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle for a little while and reconnect with the natural landscape. It’s Britain’s largest national park and is home to some spectacular scenery and wildlife, you might even be lucky enough to spot a golden eagle. You can try almost any outdoor activity you can think of, from hiking to skiing. There are castles to visit, including the famous Balmoral Castle, whisky tours and plenty of pubs where you can refuel after a long walk enjoying some of Scotland’s stunning landscapes.
