Learn moreThis stunning cabin offers couples a romantic retreat in the charming Devon countryside. Tucked away in a peaceful corner of its own field, you and your loved one can relax and unwind in style with rolling hills and pretty woodland all around you.
When you arrive, you’ll love the beautiful surrounding scenery that sets the scene for a tranquil stay amidst nature. Drop your bags off and hop into the wood-fired hot tub as you enjoy a glass of wine and take in the view. Or, while away your afternoon digging into a good book in the hammock before enjoying an impromptu snooze in peace.
Inside, the cabin has a rustic feel, with exposed wood and a lovely log-burning fireplace keeping things toasty and warm. There’s a cute and quaint sofa for two opposite the log burner where you can get comfy as you enjoy an evening tipple on cool evenings.
When night falls, the double bed is on the mezzanine level above the open-plan living space, and offers a comfy and cosy space to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep.
Back downstairs, you’ll find the compact kitchen that has everything you need for relaxed holiday cooking, including a single hob burner. There’s also a gas BBQ outside for alfresco feasts. You’ll also be provided with a few homely essentials, including milk, tea, coffee and a delicious Devon cream tea.
There’s also a separate bathroom with a hot shower – perfect after a day exploring the Devon countryside.
If you fancy staying in, you can pre-order farm-fresh meat boxes, seasonal veg from local producers, indulgent hampers or even hot meals delivered to your door. Stocking up is easy too – the nearest shop is just a mile away by car, and supermarkets in Holsworthy, Torrington and Bideford all deliver.
And when it’s time to head out, the local food scene doesn’t disappoint. Pop into the historic Devil Stone Inn in Shebbear, the chic beachfront Boathouse in Instow, or enjoy a roast to remember at The Thatched in Abbotsham. The Farmers Arms and The Rydon Inn serve up seasonal, locally sourced dishes in classic countryside settings.
If you want to head out and explore, there’s plenty to do in the area, whether you're after adventure or a slower pace. Grab the binoculars and spot local birdlife, head out wild swimming with events organised by your hosts or wander nature trails with maps provided. Electric bikes are available to hire, and with fishing rights on the river, guests with a license can try their luck at catching wild trout.
Nearby, discover stunning beaches like Westward Ho!, Widemouth Bay and Bude, or take a day trip to charming spots like Clovelly, Hartland and Appledore. For the more active, the vast Tarka Trail is just 10 minutes away, and Dartmoor’s wild beauty is within easy reach.
