The Steadings has been imaginatively renovated from a former derelict barn to a stylish and beautifully presented house with stunning views across lush grassland to the sea and the island of Lismore beyond. Situated at the entrance to Glengalmadale, the backdrop to this property is spectacular. With wonderful scenery and vistas plus wildlife galore, this is a place that is truly good for the soul and perfect for a large group of family or friends. Boasting plenty of space and facilities, this stunning home will ensure that whatever the weather, comfort is top of the list.
Attractively furnished and well equipped throughout with a bright, fresh feel that encourages relaxation, this single-storey house provides an ideal family venue and caters for all ages and abilities. The large, stylish open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining room opens onto the conservatory; creating the heart of the house and is a marvellous gathering place after exhilarating days spent out and about.
Super sumptuous sofas in the lounge area and conservatory provide the ideal spot to curl up with a book or a drink and marvel at the majestic scenery surrounding the property. A TV and DVD player are on hand if you can tear yourself away from the views and fancy a movie night or box set marathon.
The kitchen provides an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and tall fridge freezer so you’ll be well set up to create culinary masterpieces for your party. A further utility room contains an additional fridge and freezer so you won't have to worry about space for all your treats!
All five spacious bedrooms boast modern ensuite bathrooms and are equipped with TVs. Each is individually designed and furnished in a stylish country chic boutique style with sumptuous bedding and plenty of storage. They provide a perfect retreat after a long day exploring your surroundings. There is also an additional shower/wet room that is wheelchair friendly.
Outside, you’ll find a grassy enclosed garden plus a handy storage area for your muddy bikes. The Loch Linnhe shoreline is a short walk from the cottage and here you’ll discover a delightful stone beach where you can watch the waves roll in and breathe in your surroundings. If you enjoy spectacular scenery there are opportunities for walking, climbing, cycling, canoeing, fishing, nature watching or just relaxing, meaning this is the perfect getaway for you. You can also take a day trip to Mull, Iona, Fortwilliam or the splendour of Glencoe too.
