The Detail...
Discover the epic beauty of the legendary Scottish Highlands from this luxury holiday let in Perthshire’s ancient, rugged woodlands. Once a working part of the 4,000 acre Monzie Estate, Mill House has now been beautifully converted into a boutique, rural escape. Journey through the majestic landscapes to learn the mysteries of the land, uncovering its sparkling lochs, enchanted forests and crumbling castle grounds. Climb misty Munro peaks and follow flourishing walking trails, listening to the wildlife and its stark, untouched tales.
The sumptuous property compliments this natural opulence by blending its long-standing heritage with a touch of modern indulgence. The interiors are finished with a chic, country design and fuse traditional Scottish craftsmanship with an artistic style. Look out for the soft plaids and the bold splashes of colour, along with the designer lights, decadent headboards and Moorish-inspired tiles.
Five en-suite bedrooms are spread out across the house and have views across the babbling river and vibrant meadows. Each has been carefully appointed to create a calm and luxurious hideout with massive king-size beds and contemporary en-suite bathrooms. Vintage pieces hint back to its earlier days and are joined by cosy sofas and sink-in armchairs. Make use of the organic toiletries and the thick, fluffy robes, before curling up beneath the duvet and letting sleep soothe your soul.
Downstairs, you’ll find the social living and dining areas, complete with a wood burner and sleek, handcrafted kitchen. Read your morning newspaper with a mug of steaming coffee, sitting out on the garden terrace and watching the dew start to glisten. Gather for an evening nightcap or read a book beside the fire, planning your next adventure in the wild, open countryside.
In the days, you can head out to explore the romantic, natural scenery, stumbling upon fallen castles and blossoming, river valleys. Take a tour of Monzie Castle to hear its haunting myths and legends, roaming around the grounds to admire its grand and stately presence. Nearby Creiff should be next on your list and is known for its gourmet foods and independent restaurants. Famous golf courses can also be found in abundance, while Edinburgh and Glasgow are within driving distance.
