Buckle your belts for a barnstorming adventure betwixt the hills of Somerset. Here you’ll find luxury accommodation with indoor heated pool, and a space that sleeps 10-14 in rustic splendor in five spacious bedrooms. (Or up to 20 with the additional hire of Little Bickley)
Plunge into the pool, gambol in the grounds, frolic in the games room. Then gather with your nearest and dearest around the roaring fire, in the beautiful cinema room or around the vast dining table.
Inside you’ll find three king-size and two super-king or twin with four additional pull-out single beds. All rooms are en suite with large showers. One also has a free-standing roll-top bath.
Children are welcome, in fact, positively encouraged. Happy children mean happy parents and here you’ll find everything you need to keep the kids entertained. The 14 inch trampoline, table football, full-sized table tennis table, garden games, climbing wall, playhouse and, of course, the heated indoor pool, kept at a steamy 30C, will keep the whole family busy.
Once exhausted from gallivanting in the garden, fields and footpaths gather with your family and friends around the roaring log fire and dine at the colossal dining table.
Round off the day in the cinema room with a bowl of popcorn and a favourite film. For indoor fun, you’ll find 4G connectivity and WiFi as well as more traditional pastimes such as a piano, books and board games.
In the kitchen are huge gas and electric range cooker, dishwasher and double fridge-freezer and a washing machine and tumble drier. Or, if the day is balmy, head outdoors to use the barbecue and large decked area.
Outside is ample parking and even helicopters can be accommodated via prior arrangement.
In the area explore the Quantock Hills, where you’ll find panoramic views that lead you through coast, heath and combe. Explore and you will find rocky Jurassic coastline, exposed heathland summits, deep wooded combes, undulating farmland and attractive villages all within this protected landscape.
The West Somerset Railway provides a great way to see the gently rolling hills as well as Exmoor, where you’ll see unspoilt villages and farms nestling in leafy lanes, the cliffs and coast of the Bristol Channel from a steam train.
South Devon and North Somerset coast are also within easy reach, only 45 minutes away by car.

This was our first time staying at The Shed, The year before we stayed in West Barn. As a large family we couldn’t have wanted more, Gemma is just Fab and nothing is ever too much and the only downside we can honestly say is we should’ve stayed longer! The space, The amenities, The care to detail is just incredible. Booking for 2 weeks next year as a week just isn’t long enough If you’re searching for peace, tranquility and a place to spend time with the family away from the every day this is what you will get. Not one of us wanted to leave. Thank you Gemma for the most amazing week creating memories that won’t be forgotten.

We enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing family break at the Shed this weekend. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need and beautifully decorated with stunning views across the countryside. The pool, hot tub and games area was a fabulous bonus too. Gemma was the perfect host.

I stayed here in May this year with my husband and a few family members along with Little Bickley. It was fantastic. Gemma is an excellent host. She is both attentive if you have an requests, but also gives you space to enjoy the house when you arrive. We got really lucky with the weather so it made the views even more amazing. Absolutely beautiful surroundings and loads to do. The ping pong table went down the best with our guests but there is also a pool, large hot tub and cinema room and play area for kids to keep you entertained. 5 stars.
