Located in the quaint coastal village of Porth, just a 10-minute walk from an award-winning beach and less than two miles from the surfers’ paradise of Newquay, this cosy cottage is a great base for exploring all that magical Cornwall has to offer. Stylishly decorated with exposed beams, feature wallpaper and contemporary artwork, The Little Cottage has all the ingredients for a romantic seaside getaway.
Downstairs, the light and airy open-plan living room is a cook’s delight. In the kitchen area you’ll find everything you’ll need to rustle up a leisurely breakfast, delicious lunch or candlelit dinner for two. Dine indoors at the spacious, wooden table or step through the sliding doors to the patio and enjoy an alfresco feast in the sunshine. And when you’ve finished your meal, cosy up on the comfortable sofa to chat about your day or choose something to watch on the wall-mounted, flat screen TV.
Upstairs you’ll find the calming double bedroom with its characterful, exposed wooden beams and huge shuttered windows. The wow factor in this room is the beautiful, roll top bath, where you can enjoy wonderful valley views, whilst relaxing in the bubbles.
The separate bathroom is jungle-themed with atmospheric tropical plant wallpaper. Here you’ll find a walk-in shower, WC and hand basin. Fluffy, white towels are provided for that added touch of luxury.
Outside is a sunny patio which can be accessed from the living area. With a bistro table and chairs, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or long lunch.
The Little Cottage offers private, off-road parking, so exploring the surrounding area is a breeze. Ever popular Newquay, where you’ll find plenty to keep you busy, is just a 10-minute drive away. With its gorgeous beaches and powerful waves, Newquay is a surfer’s dream - and even if you don’t fancy hitting the water, sitting on the sand watching the pros is a sport in itself.
This vibrant town also offers an array of cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs, as well as independent shops and boutiques. Even closer to home, Porth beach, with its fine golden sand and safe bathing, is just a 10-minute stroll from the cottage and there are numerous walks in the local area taking in the spectacular Cornish coastline.
