Set on the side of a hill in the Gloucestershire countryside, The Fuselage is an eye-catching cabin with a spectacular view. So named due to its distinctive shape, reminiscent of the main body of an aircraft, The Fuselage accommodates up to four people making it perfect for small families or couples. This award-winning design has been constructed using sustainably sourced wood and recycled aluminium. Underfloor heating and a woodburner make this little cabin suitable for country escapes at any time of the year, whether you prefer the slow and sultry summer months or crisp winter walks.
You’ll find The Fuselage at the top of a pretty, sloping field that offers spectacular views over hills and valleys, all the way to the Severn Estuary and the mountains beyond. The design of the cabin really makes the most of the view with big windows perfectly positioned by the living area. Relax around the dining table and soak up the scenery as you sip your morning coffee or tuck into a delicious dinner.
The interior is fitted with clever, folding furniture which allows you to convert the cabin from a relaxed living space with a dining table to a cosy bedroom that sleeps four in no time at all. You’ll find all the equipment you’ll require for cooking in the enclosed timber kitchen. You have an induction hob, a fridge, and all the crockery and food storage you'll need. Outside on the deck sits a fire pit with a grill. Enjoy cooking over the open flames as the sun sets over the valley and you’ll even find a stash of marshmallows waiting to be toasted over the fire pit as you sit back and enjoy a bit of stargazing. You’ll also find a wood-fired Dutchtub on the deck. Simply get a fire going and this simple, yet beautifully designed hot tub will start to heat up and you’ll soon be relaxing with a glass of something. Guests also have access to a pretty three acre field, should they wish to spread out and play some games. The field also has a trampoline down one end for fun and games.
You can easily spend your whole trip in this tranquil haven, doing as little as possible and watching the deer, hares and owls that live in the surrounding countryside. However, if you do fancy a bit of exploring, the market town of Stroud is only a few miles away. You can wander through the market and discover independent shops and galleries. There are also plenty of walking trails in the local area, a favourite being the walk to the Woolpack Inn.
