At Resilient Woodlands Retreat guests can escape to the beautiful Forest of Dean and relax in luxury in one of two gorgeous cabins. Situated between the rivers Wye and Severn, you can enjoy a peaceful break in the magical Forest of Dean surrounded with amazing things to do. These two fantastic cabins have been lovingly crafted by the owners to ensure you and your loved ones can really make the most out of your escape to nature.
Each cabin has a comfy master bedroom with a big king sized bed that offers delightful woodland views. Guests can enjoy a super-comfy night’s sleep before waking up and taking in the wonderful surroundings with a nice cuppa whilst still in bed.
There’s also a quaint and cosy living area, complete with a full sized double futon sofa where you can get comfy and enjoy a good book or a glass of wine. The futon is easily transformed into a full-sized double bed allowing each cabin to sleep up to four guests in absolute comfort.
In summer, leave the doors open and let the outside in. And come the colder months, be sure to light up the log burning fireplace and turn the underfloor heating up a degree or two and stay nice and toasty all day. The cute kitchen has lots of cracking amenities including a microwave, oven, butler sink and hob. This makes meal prep a joy. Dinners can be eaten at the indoor dining table, or outside in the sunshine on your own private deck.
Both cabins also have modern wet room style bathrooms, with full sized shower units, sinks, large mirrors, and traditional toilets.
Your private deck offers fabulous views of your surroundings and is the ideal place to dine al fresco or sit and enjoy a morning coffee in the peace and tranquillity of nature.
When it comes to venturing out, guests will be delighted with the countryside on offer. With both the Wye and the Severn nearby, you have endless river walks on offer, as well as fishing and wild swimming opportunities. Avid walkers will enjoy the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its pretty forest trails and quaint villages, whilst the nearby town of Woodlaston (a short walk away) has a village shop for the basics and the larger towsn of Lydney or Chepstow (15 minutes in a car) have all the shops and amenities you’ll need to stock up for your stay.
