Charming shepherd’s hut for two near the Anglesey coast with its own wood-fired hot tub, perfect for a rural romantic escape.
Tucked away down a quiet country lane on the southwest coast of Anglesey you’ll find this luxurious shepherd’s hut, perfect for a romantic escape. Relax in the charming interior which is cosy whatever the weather thanks to underfloor heating and a log burner. On sunny days, open the French doors onto your patio and enjoy the view of the surrounding countryside from the ‘Hikki’ Swedish wood-fired hot tub. As the evening draws in, enjoy a glass of something around the fire pit, perhaps toasting a few marshmallows as you indulge in a bit of stargazing.
The hut has been designed to complement the surroundings in a country chic style using neutral colours. This creates a relaxing interior with a modern feel and plenty of space-saving tricks up its sleeves. There’s a comfy double bed, complete with luxurious bedding and a king size duvet. The slim wardrobes on either side and the shelf above provide storage space and create a cosy nook where you can sit up in bed with a book and a hot chocolate.
The kitchenette has been cleverly designed to provide everything you need in a compact space. A sink cover extends the wooden work surface to provide a bit of extra space for preparing simple meals and a dining area appears by unfolding a table and set of chairs. Behind the sliding door at the end of the hut, you’ll find a modern bathroom with a shower, toilet, washbasin and space to warm your towels on a heated rail.
Step down onto the patio and you’ll find a table and chairs where you can enjoy your breakfasts alfresco in the summer months. After a day at the beach, rinse off in the refreshing outdoor shower before a relaxing dip in the Swedish wood-fired hot tub. There’s also a fire pit so you can stay out late into the evening, enjoying the famous dark skies of Anglesey and seeing how many constellations you can pick out.
If you’re looking to explore the local area a bit, there’s a tandem bike available for guests during their stay. Once you’ve got the hang of it, cycle along the surrounding country lanes and into Rhosneigr for an ice cream. Head down to one of the two beautiful beaches with golden sands, explore the rock pools or go for a dip in the sea. The beaches are also fantastic spots for having a go at water sports and are well-known for windsurfing and kite surfing in particular. If you’re looking to venture a little further afield, Anglesey has 120 miles of coastline to explore with many pretty coves and bays and lots of trails inland for keen walkers and cyclists.
