- As well as the copper tub there's a bathroom with toilet, shower and lovely sink carved out of stone with rustic faucets. Towels are provided.

The detail
The two curved capsules of Cheriton tree-house twine around a mature oak in a multi-leveled display of craftsmanship and comfort. Much larger than you would imagine, the place has a feel of Scandinavian design meets high-end hobbit house with beautiful, wooden hand-crafted furniture throughout.
Head up the stairway and enter the main living area, a gorgeous open space, and you have a fully equipped kitchen to the right with an oven, hob, fridge, kettle and even a dishwasher. Pack away the treats you've brought, crack open a bottle of fizz and get the wood burner going. Settle down on the large, brown leather sofa, clink glasses with your lucky companion and let the peaceful surroundings wash over you.
Make your way through to the second capsule and be amazed at the stunning copper tub with big windows providing a view of the beautiful landscape outside. The taps are conveniently placed in the centre of the tub so there's no reason at all not to share a long soak and the rest of that bottle of fizz. Wrap yourselves in towels and pad over the heated floorboards towards your living area and enjoy your feast for the evening. The dining table sits central to the space and looks like a piece of the old oak has simply grown its way into the room. After supper head out on to the balcony, breathe in the night air and maybe do a little stargazing.
In the living space there is a cosy log burner and comfy sofa waiting for you. Read a book, or if you prefer, take advantage of the WiFi and flip open the laptop and sink into a movie before bed. When it's time for sleep you'll be delighted by the roomy double bed. With large windows on three sides and a skylight, it feels as though you're floating in the trees. Take your morning coffee on the balcony, or if the weather permits, head down to the outdoor swing bed overlooking the private pond. There's a tiny islet in the centre which you can access via the stepping stones.
If you decide to venture out of your cosy nest there's plenty to do and see in the surrounding area. Take a walk around Stourhead or make your way to the vibrant and creative towns of Frome and Bruton where you'll find independent shops to explore, world renowned art gallery Hauser & Wirth and plenty of excellent eateries serving local produce. Your local country pub is The White Horse, where you can settle in for a delicious pub meal and some local ales or if you fancy a bit more luxury, why not head over to The Pig Near Bath, and indulge in some spa treatments and a posh meal in stylish surroundings? With farm shops, bakeries, cafes and restaurants just a short walk or drive away you'll want for nothing and enjoy everything. And if you don't want to lift a finger let the hosts order you a welcome hamper and just tuck yourself away.
