Nestled amongst the hillsides of the wild Scottish Highlands is this secret woodland cabin in the remote hamlet of Letters. Peering out across Loch Broom and the rugged Beinn Dearg Mountain, Studio Hoose is a restorative retreat in a breath-taking, natural landscape. Desolate mountain peaks tower above the flourishing glens, where ancient woodlands and surging hillsides guard the pure, white sands. Crystal-clear loch waters are dusted with a spell-binding mist and reflect the craggy cliffs and endless skies with sheer and utter bliss.
Studio Hoose is woven into this haven of tranquillity and has been hand-crafted from local wood to blend in with the untouched, rural backdrop. Its minimalist interiors capture the silence of Mother Nature and use earthy materials to create a calm and peaceful ambience.
Relax in the open-plan living room with its massive floor-to-ceiling windows or cook up a hearty meal in the bespoke, galley kitchen. Heated, wooden floorboards keep you toasty and warm, along with the chic wood burner and comfy furniture. Handmade textiles and colourful prints add a hint of local character and are joined by piles of interesting books and independent artwork.
Two gorgeous bedrooms complete the cosy woodland snug and include a bijoux master double and a homely, quaint twin. Both are dressed with sink-in beds and thick, fluffy duvets and share a stylish family bathroom with designer fittings.
Out on the sheltered deck, you can soak up the magic of the Highlands, gazing at Scotland’s mesmerising natural beauty. Look out across the sparkling loch and the rough, rolling hillsides, before donning your hiking boots and heading out into the wilderness. 2nr complimentary bikes are available for shared use by our Studio Hoose and Tree Hoose guests.
Explore the idyllic sea shores or the wild forest scenes, travelling further out to tackle the Munro peaks. Visit the captivating Coigach moorlands or the stunning Assynt lochs or the enchanting waterfalls of the Corrieshalloch Gorge.
Stop off in the neighbouring village of Ullapool for a relaxing afternoon, sitting by the quaint fishing harbour or exploring the thriving arts scene. After a day of adventure, you can head back to your hillside cabin, sitting out beneath the star-studded vistas beside the shimmering, moonlit waters.

Leave a reviewWe are submitting this review whilst still at Studio Hoose as it is just perfect. We arrived to find a good stock of basic items along with some fresh eggs (from their own hens, personalities in their own right) and some freshly home baked goodies. The hoose is modern, extremely comfortable, and eclectic. The view over Loch Broom is inspiring, and Anne-Marie has done a great job wild planting on the land around the hoose. If looking for peace and tranquilty, we can't think of anywhere better. Owners Anne-Marie and Michael are warm and welcoming, so many thanks to both!
