Surrounded by moorland, lakes and the sea, Round n Round is a hand-built wooden cabin in West Cornwall, providing the perfect little haven for couples looking to get back to nature. What's more, the cabin was built with sustainability firmly in mind, meaning guests can enjoy an eco-friendly break.
Built and managed with the environment firmly in mind, guests can stay here with a clear conscience that their impact on the planet is kept to a minimum. And thanks to the wild 'jacuzzi' in the form of a fresh stream burbling into a deep natural pool, wood-burner and hot shower, getting away to this peaceful paradise is a real luxury no matter what time of year it is. Situated with farmland and lush green fields all around, the local area is perfect for those wishing to relax in the fresh air. An array of flora, fauna and wildlife await, with a scattering of villages, small towns and the stunning Cornish coast all nearby.
Hand constructed, the cabin boasts a characterful design, with two cylindrical chambers and plenty of space in between. Accessories, materials and fabrics throughout the cabin have been selected to be as ethical and sustainable as possible, while not sacrificing on comfort or luxury! A king size bed on the 'mezzanine to the stars' allows plenty of space and comfort for two guests to sleep, while the sofa area and hammock give extra options for relaxing both indoors and out.
The kitchen has an impressive induction hob, as well as an oven atop the wood burner and a toaster - ideal for cooking up meals and snacks. Morning coffee can be made using the cafetière or the stove top coffee press, with a handy DAB radio with bluetooth providing your chosen soundtrack for the day. The bathroom has its own hot shower, compost loo and heated towel rail, and the cabin is fully insulated throughout. Outside, guests can make use of the deck area relaxing in the armchairs whilst sitting around the firepit where they can also grill up some food for some al fresco dining as the sun sets.
Round n Round has been carefully thought out to provide a peaceful retreat for its visitors, so there is no shame in staying put for the duration of the break. However, guests might be able to tear themselves away and experience the local walking trails, wildlife pond and excellent birdwatching. Keen adventurers will love cycling the historic mineral tramways, and after a day of action, come back to stargaze and spot the Milky Way in the night sky.

Leave a reviewI can’t emphasise enough how amazing this place was. Me and my partner needed a break from life and booked this cabin for my partners birthday. The peace and tranquility was exactly what we needed and the cosy days in whilst the rain poured outside was the best. We spent the days playing games and drinking wine in front of a fire. It was everything we could have wished for. We will definitely be returning! Thanks you to the welcoming and hospitable hosts Bernice and Huw!

From the moment we arrived we felt calm and stillness. The thought and craftsmanship that went in to Round n Round was stunning. But the most important aspect to our stay was the friendliness and hospitality of Bernice & Huw, they are really lovely and kind people who are more than happy to give people a taste of peace & tranquility in their lives whilst staying at Little Menherion. To sleep under the stars, morning coffee on the decking, reading outside in the hammock, calm in front of a roaring log burner, books/games to enjoy & staring into the flames of the campfire was simply the best. Not to forget the sound of the stream just behind us was beautiful. This is it, this is what life is all about and we’re so happy to have found Little M. A cheeky time away from ‘life’ is what we’ll be doing from now on. Thank you Bernice and Huw, see you again next year.

BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO STAY!! We stayed in Round n Round for three nights and WOW, what a lovely, relaxing stay it was. Bernice and Huw were so accommodating (even before we arrived!!!) and so knowledgable about Cornwall. It's a luscious, green place to stay and even thought it was raining for most of our stay, it felt so cozy with the fire on and a glass of wine. Can't recommend Little M enough, I've told everyone I know that they HAVE to go here! Thank you so much for our stay Bernice and Huw, it really was special. :)

We have just returned from our honeymoon at Round n Round and we couldn't have wished for anywhere more romantic or special, it was a fantastic place to enjoy and relax after our wedding, it feels really magical being able to sleep under the stars every night, the Round n Round is beautifully made, every need has been catered for, Bernice and Huw are the best hosts too. Its a place you want to keep a secret but it's too special - so you need to tell people about it to experienceit too! We absolutely loved it. Thank you Bernice and Huw, see you again soon we hope! We had a fabulous time at Round n Round! Such a peaceful spot and Bernice and Huw were great hosts. Having the wee shop onsite was an added bonus and the stay is a great location to drive to all different areas of Cornwall! Huw and Bernice have created a haven of heavenliness at their rural retreat in Cornwall. From the warmth of the welcome to those extra little touches that make all the difference to your stay, you will feel nicely pampered as you relax in the eco-friendly, yet somehow luxurious, confines of Round and Round. I'd organised three days of treats for my wife's birthday weekend, but all she wanted to do was stay put at the lodge. Need I say more? If you're looking for somewhere to listen to the birds, gaze at the stars (from outside and also while lying in bed, thanks to the circular window in the roof!) and generally unwind in a 'get back to nature' kind of way, then this is your sort of place. Perfect!
