Nestled in a charming rural area in the picturesque Northumberland countryside, Roses Bowers is a magnificent collection of three holiday properties, creating the perfect multi-home accommodation for larger families and other groups looking for a comfortable, high-end rural retreat. Benefiting from not one but two outdoor hot tubs, a range of indoors and outside spaces, and everything else a multi-generational group could need for a bonding time away together, Roses Bowers is popular with family reunions, groups of families going on holiday together and wedding parties.
The three properties are Drum Barn, a newly renovated eight person cottage arranged over two floors; The Hayloft, a charming and quirky four bedroom house; and Woodworkers Cottage, with two double bedrooms upstairs, designed for four guests in two bedrooms.
The individual houses each have their own privacy, autonomy and full cooking facilities, and share a large courtyard garden, so guests can be as integrated or as separate as they please, either spending all day together and eating in one of the larger houses, or coming together throughout the holiday but largely keeping to their own home. While each of the cottages has its own distinct aesthetic and atmosphere, each of them benefit from the attention to detail and high-end design approach which characterises the collection.
The rooms are spacious and well lit, everything from bathroom fittings to kitchen appliances are first rate, and these are the sort of comfortable and luxurious houses where simply occupying the space feels relaxing. With a blend of older rural architecture and slick contemporary touches, the cottages combine modern entertainment technology and the latest culinary gadgets with exposed beams, claw foot tubs and vast picture windows, coming together in the ultimate holiday environment for friends and families alike.
While this area of Northumberland has long been associated with the great outdoors, drawing hikers, campers, mountain bikers and nature enthusiasts from all over the country and beyond, there is also a thriving and vibrant cultural scene in the immediate region. As well as holidaymakers who enjoy lengthy physical exertions and love to feel the beauty of the outside world, there is also excellent architecture, food, retail opportunities and history nearby.
Make the day trip to historic Newcastle with its excellent restaurants, museums, bars and live music, or strike out for the gorgeous coast. Take in the ancient castles, or make the trip to charming Alnwick. After spending all day out and about, come home for a three-household BBQ blowout after relaxing with a bottle of local beer in one of the two hot tubs.
