All aboard this charming and unique bolt hole for a relaxing and restorative break in the fantastic Somerset countryside. Situated on a 10-acre piece of farmland you're able to rest and unwind in the peace and tranquility of nature with your loved ones - life really does run at a slower pace here! Rex has panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, and your friendly neighbours will include sheep, chickens and dogs. The bus has electricity, heating and running water throughout, and there is even an outdoor decking area where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening meals. Sleeping a maximum of four guests, this truly is a stay like no other and one that the kids will be talking about for years.
The ground floor of this charming getaway houses the kitchen and living area. The kitchen has ample workspace and all the mod cons and utensils needed to make cooking a breeze, while a sitting area at the back of the bus has lots of cushioned seating orientated around a high table. This is the perfect spot for enjoying your meals or getting a games tournament on the go.
Upstairs you will find the sleeping quarters. At the front of the bus are two cosy pod bunk beds that the kids (both big and small) will love. To the rear is a comfy king size bed that guarantees a great night's sleep. There are also two bean bags, a dedicated workspace, and an original bus seat paying homage to Rex's past. There is also a WC with a toilet and basin. Guests also have use of a working hot shower on the lower deck. The bus also has heating, electricity and running water throughout. Step outside of Rex where you can dine al fresco on the decking as you enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Rex is situated in the pretty Somerset village of Barwick. It has a couple of traditional English pubs should you wish to sample some local fare and fine ales, while the surrounding countryside is replete with picturesque walking and cycling routes. For those who need a taste of urban life, the town of Yeovil is less than two miles to the north and has various shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. For something a little more quaint, Sherborne, a small Dorset market town is a 15-minute drive to the east. It has many historic buildings including Sherborne Abbey, its manor, and Sherborne Castle.
