This marvellous detached home has an unbeatable location on Dittisham village quay offering spectacular views from a unique vantage point, and has a secluded garden, a beautiful private swimming pool and a peaceful sundeck where you can enjoy the best that riverside living has to offer.
Originally inspired by a 1970s Spanish hacienda, Pier House is characterised by white-washed walls, carefully hand-painted tiles and palm trees, evoking a truly Mediterranean feel in the south of England. Add to this, the outstanding water-side location and the ever-changing tidal views, and you've got a dream break for groups of up to eight.
With four bedrooms, Pier House is apt for an extended holiday with family or friends alike. Each bedroom is furnished with luxuriously comfortable beds, comprised of one super-king, one king, one twin and one flexible option that can be arranged either as twin beds or as a super-king. Undoubtedly the highlight, the main bedroom hosts a bi-folding door, sliding back to reveal a balcony with inimitable views of the river. Every bedroom is accompanied by an opulent ensuite bathroom complete with underfloor heating, featuring a combination of walk-in showers and deep, freestanding baths for a long, hot soak.
Bright and colourful, the kitchen is an instant delight, composed of light green flooring, a vibrant rug and patterned tiles. Your designated chef will be delighted with the array of fantastic amenities on offer, which include a Smeg induction range and a Fischer and Paykel fridge freezer. Whip up delicious feasts whilst your fellow guests keep you company at the spacious kitchen island, before enjoying tasty meals at the long, wooden dining table that offers yet another vantage point to take in the fabulous river views.
Elsewhere, the similarly enchanting living room hosts an open fire and a smart TV, providing ultimate, endless cosiness. Sonos speakers are integrated throughout Pier House, found in the kitchen, sitting room and each bedroom, on hand to provide a summer-ready soundtrack. Outside, the garden exudes fresh, green lawns, further equipped with a summer house, BBQ area and a large outdoor dining table. There's also a fabulous swimming pool where you can enjoy a dip as you gaze out over the river. Or, simply relax on a lounger by the edge of the pool whilst enjoying the view and the sounds of the river. Guests may even want to indulge in some wild swimming, which is made all the more easy thanks to your location on the very edge of the Dart.
Whether in search of outdoor adventure, cultural experiences or simply an evening meal amidst a tranquil setting, Dittisham has something to offer everyone. Seeing as you're located on the banks of the River Dart, a trip to these calm waters is a must, whether explored with a kayak, canoe or paddleboard. A short ferry ride away, guests can get lost in the grounds of Greenway House, the historic holiday home of the famous Agatha Christie, inundated with fascinating details and beautiful vistas of the river. For those looking to get acquainted with nature, a walk along the South West Coast Path is a must, offering stunning coastal views and golden beaches. Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands similarly form the perfect spot for making sandcastles, soaking up the sun and relaxing to the soothing sound of the ocean.
