Set within a private hamlet near the picturesque Cornish town of Looe, these one-bedroom cottages offer a unique holiday experience. Enjoy the on-site facilities, from the tennis court and pitch and putt to the pretty gardens with their relaxation areas. There are five one-bedroom traditional Cornish cottages to choose from, arranged around the village green. The cottages are all unique, each with its own features and character. Miller’s Cottage, for example, houses the original mill for the hamlet while Mariner’s Cottage is tucked away slightly with its own private walled garden.

Alongside the traditional features, such as log-burning fires, beautiful wooden lintels above the windows and Cornish slate used for the exteriors, the cottages have been brought right up to date in terms of comfort. Fully equipped kitchens make self-catering a breeze while double glazing and central heating will keep you cosy whatever the weather. Get a fire going in the living room and put your feet up with a good book or a board game or two. Huge comfy beds, complete with luxurious bedding await at the end of a day exploring or relaxing at the beach.

You’ll have everything you need right on your doorstep with the hamlet’s own shop providing the essentials and breakfast hampers available to order every day. You can also organise a BBQ package so you can cook out in your private garden without any hassle. Each cottage has a garden with a fire pit and furniture as well as a BBQ. You’re also free to wander through the hamlet and discover the duck pond and the paddock with miniature ponies and pygmy goats, or challenge yourselves to a game of croquet.

There’s plenty to do in the local area, with open countryside and the coast both a stone’s throw away. Visit the Eden Project or the Lost Gardens of Heligan to learn more about Cornwall’s unique climate and endangered plants from all over the world. Learn to surf at one of the many surf schools based at the local beaches or hire a boat for the day and take a trip along the River Looe.
