The details

Lydcott Farm, on the stunning Cornish coast, offers a truly luxurious glamping experience. Seven Iglucraft cabins are positioned overlooking the sea with cosy interiors and eye-catching designs. These handcrafted cabins have been constructed by skilled craftsmen who are experts in traditional Nordic techniques and modern design. The exteriors are covered with spruce shingles, a technique centuries-old which was common in rural Scandinavia up to the 1950s. The interiors have been clad in beautiful, light-coloured aspen which gives them a welcoming and spacious feel. These cabins offer a real escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

The smallest cabin, Prosecco, sleeps two in a sumptuous queen-size bed, making it a great choice for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Inside, you’ll find all the modern conveniences you could need, including a fully-equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, hob and a microwave. There’s an ensuite bathroom with a shower and fluffy towels and crisp, fresh bedding are provided. Outside, you have a private space from which you can enjoy the sweeping views down to the sea. A luxurious double hammock will help you relax and a fire pit will keep you cosy in the evenings.

If you want to bring the kids along too, The Pasty might be the cabin for you. It’s slightly bigger than Prosecco, making room for a sofa bed in the living room, meaning it can sleep up to four. Inside, you’ll find it kitted out with kitchen and ensuite bathroom and there’s a luxurious queen-size bed in the bedroom area. Outside, there’s a picnic bench, perfect for when you want to enjoy your meals outdoors and an enormous sun lounger, the ideal place to soak up those beautiful views.

The Pilchard, sleeps up to four in two separate bedrooms offering flexibility to host a family or two couples. Again, you’ll find a kitchen, ensuite bathroom and a queen-size bed in the bedroom. There’s also a cosy dining area which converts into the second bed which is a huge king-size double. The private outside space has a family sun lounger and seating gathered around a fire pit.

Jam First has the same layout as The Pasty, with a super comfy queen size bed and space for two more guests on a sofa bed in the lounge area. That means this cabin offers groups of up to four a comfy bolthole and the sea views from every window ensure you are able to soak in your delightful surroundings throughout your stay. Guests will love the private outside area, complete with a fire pit to keep you toasty in the evenings and outdoor seating, and the nicely equipped kitchen has all you need to cook for your group.

Clotted Cream offers the same layout as Pilchard. That means you have a main bedroom that features a huge, comfy king sized bed, and a second king sized bed in the living space that converts into a dining area during the day. Clotted Cream can sleep four guests comfortably, or five if you are a family with three kids who are happy to share. There's a nicely equipped kitchen, an en suite bathroom with a shower, and a DAB bluetooth radio so you can listen to some music whilst you cook. Clotted Cream offers yet more gorgeous sea views, and also has a fab outdoors area with a fire pit, outdoor seating, and a double swinging egg chair.

The largest cabin available is Proper Job, which sleeps up to six guests. There's a large European double bed in the main bedroom, an additional king sized bed that converts into a dining space during the day, and space for two more guests on the fold out sofa bed. This is an ideal cabin for families, or couples on the lookout for a luxurious romantic break. Proper Job has more lovely sea views from the living area, and outside there's a tree swing and a private sunset spot with a hammock. Guests can also stay toasty by the firepit and cook meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Proper Job is also dog-friendly, with guests allowed to bring one dog with them during their stay.

And finally, Dreckly offers couples or small families a cosy, comfy stay. This cabin has a king sized bed and a double sofa bed for an additional two guests. It also boasts stunning views from every window, and has its very own 'secret garden'. Guests will love this outdoor spot where they can enjoy the sunset whilst relaxing in their own quaint woodland clearing. There is also a firepit/BBW and private decking with a double hammock and outdoor furniture. Dreckly has a fully-equipped kitchen and its own luxury bathroom with a shower. Again, guests are allowed one small dog with them on their stay.

Lydcott Glamping could hardly be located in a more beautiful part of Cornwall. There are stunning beaches to explore just 10 minutes away, many footpaths and trails to follow, and National Trust properties to discover. The location on the south coast makes it a great base from which to explore the whole of Cornwall. Visit the Eden Project, sample the local seafood fresh from the sea or take to the waves at one of the famous surfing beaches. All before heading back to Lycott Farm to roast some marshmallows over the fire and snuggle up in your cabin.

What a wonderful stay we had. We had a friend visiting from New York with her little girl, we wanted to show her more of the UK so booked a couple of nights in Cornwall. Lydcott was ideal, it was as comfortable as an Airbnb but gave us the outdoorsy-ness of camping. The chickens made the holiday, they are so friendly and beautiful. The children were so excited to see them every morning. Emma is a great host, so helpful and friendly. We will be back.

Beautiful location. Amazing glamping 'cabins' that are really comfortable. Perfect place to switch off from the world. Only 5 min drive to Seaton beach. And Emma and Rich are the perfect hosts, and take care of their guests superbly. We will be going back! Loved it.
