There's an outdoor dining table, allowing you to eat al fresco, whether that's some locally sourced produce, or your day's catch from the River Usk.
In the evenings light up the firepit and stay cosy near the flames as the stars come out above. This is a great spot to sit with a glass of wine or a nice cold beer in the company of your loved ones late into the night.

There are twin beds that can be made into a double, as well as a fold out sofa bed which can be used by kids or an additional adult. Guests are also allowed to bring a tent with them which they can pitch on the wonderful grassy spot next to Oak Retreat, allowing an extra two guests to join you.

Leave a reviewWe had an absolutely lovely stay at the Oak retreat and will definitely return. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the pod is nice and secluded and private so it was very peaceful. The children loved the outdoor pool which was a great size and nice and warm despite the weather. All the extra touches ie the dressing gowns and welcome bottle of fizz, eggs and cheese etc were all every thoughtful. The pod was well equipped with all the essentials so we didn’t have to go straight to the shop upon arrival. Harry was happy to answer any queries re recommendations for children in the local area. We can’t wait to return!

I would highly recommend Oak Retreat. The accommodation is in a very lovely spot on the beautiful estate. I stayed with my three children who loved the wild river swimming and the lovely walks. The Retreat is well equipped and the fire pit was brilliant for BBQ's. Harry was incredibly helpful both with enquiries before our stay and during. There's a lovely welcome pack of eggs and other bits when you arrive and Crickhowell itself is lovely. We had a wonderful two night stay and will definitely be returning.
