North Barn, with its laid-back interior and exquisite view will win you over as soon as you step through the door. The relaxed open-plan studio living means you can appreciate the serene aspect from the lounge, kitchen or even from bed.
Based in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there’s plenty to get involved in - from riverside walks to award-winning eateries.
The lounge has large timber-framed glass doors and is the absolute epitome of a calm and serene space. With its cream sofas, charming wooden window seats and large wood-burning stove, it’s a property that can be appreciated in the height of summer or the depths of winter.
Technological needs are catered for with TV and Wifi - and the record player is a lovely touch. Select a record, open a bottle of wine and while away the evening. There is also a large decked balcony which is the ideal place to watch the sun go down.
Continue through to a delightful and fully-equipped kitchen with its charming dining area. Characterful wooden units, painted blue and aqua, perfectly compliment the lovely blue flooring that runs throughout the property. And the Belfast sink and chunky wooden surfaces finish this beautifully rustic kitchen off perfectly.
At the end of the studio you will find a platform bed with tasteful and luxurious linens. Draw the curtains for privacy - or throw them back to enjoy the waterside view with your morning cup of tea. There is also a sweet little single bed, perfect for a child.
The bathroom is simply classic with a feature roll-top bath.
The wonderfully alternative market town of Totnes is just a short drive away - explore its Norman castle, independent shops and weekly markets. Or head to the gorgeous village of Dittisham for some excellent seafood right on the water’s edge. With stunning walks and outstanding countryside, this is Devon at its absolute best.
