The detail

Located near the coast in Anglesey, this beautiful 18th century manor house is perfect for a peaceful seaside getaway with friends and family. Surrounded by seven acres of private gardens, Millbank was once the home of the steward of the largest copper mine in the world, the nearby Parys Mountain Copper Mine. It's now an elegant and contemporary holiday home, ideally located for exploring the landscapes and historic sites of the island. After a day at the beach, striding along the coastal paths or visiting medieval castles, cook up a feast on the BBQ, snuggle up with the family in front of the wood burning stove or relax in the hot tub under the starry night sky.

Step inside and you'll find the spacious kitchen and dining area at the end of the hallway. You'll find everything you need in the kitchen to rustle up all the family favourites and there's plenty of room for everyone around the big dining table. After dinner, head through to the lounge and games room, made cosy with comfy sofas, throws, cushions and a wood burning stove. Challenge everyone to a board game, a round of pool or simply put your feet up in front of a movie.

The manor comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests in five bedrooms, all beautifully furnished in calming, natural tones with luxury linens and plush bedding. They all have king size beds and three of the rooms can be converted into twins if preferred, offering plenty of flexibility for groups. Two of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and there are another two family bathrooms, one of which has a beautiful copper bathtub, a nod to the manor's original inhabitants. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a soak and a moment to relax after a day at the beach or a walk along the coastal path.

Outside, you have the estate's seven acres to explore with landscaped gardens, flower beds bursting with colour in the summer months and plenty of space for the kids to run around and play in the paddock area. The old vegetable garden now features a fire pit and is a cosy spot to sit out late into the evening, toasting marshmallows and even doing some stargazing once the sun has set. There's also a private terrace where you can enjoy a BBQ or relax in the hot tub while soaking up the scenery.

There's plenty of exploring to do with historic sites and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty right on your doorstep. Tackle part of the 200km coastal path that will eventually take you right around the island, offering breathtaking scenery along the way. Head up to the summit of Holyhead Mountain, the highest point on Anglesey for panoramic views. If you want to catch a glimpse of some wildlife, South Stack Lighthouse offers the perfect vantage point for bird-watching, with puffins, razorbills and guillemots all frequent visitors to the area. There are also some great places to eat nearby, especially if you're on the hunt for some seafood, from restaurants serving up the day's catch to fish and chips on the beach.
