Sitting perched on a hill overlooking the historic Brixham Harbour, you will find the Maritime Suites. Set in The Maritime Inn - a Grade II listed building - you will have the choice of five charming rooms, each with their own sea view. Its location makes for the perfect spot from which to explore the surrounding region, while being right above the inn means you can always pop into the bar for a nightcap after a day's exploring. Each of the rooms can be booked separately, or together, making Maritime Suites ideal for a couples' getaway, a group retreat, or even a family celebration.
Guests will have five suites to choose from. Each room has been decorated to the highest of standards by the owners, with a contemporary air which remains true to the maritime history of the region. The en suite double rooms are each named after famous 17th and 18th century trawlers from Brixham: Leader, Provident (the penthouse), Golden Vanity, Pilgrim, and Vigilance. All the rooms house a luxury king size bed, SMART TV, coffee machine, glass coffee table, and benefit from beautiful sea views. The en suites are very spacious and come with a walk-in shower and freestanding bath. There is also a shared utility room which has washing up and laundry facilities. Step outside of the Maritime Inn and you will be greeted by the charming site of Brixham's ancient harbour.
The charming town of Brixham's main industries are fishing and tourism. A hilly town, a walk through Brixham offers beautiful views of the ancient harbour and English Channel, while there are several charming shops, pubs, eateries (fish and chips are of course a must). The larger seaside town of Torquay is less than a 20-minute drive to the north, too. Should you wish to go a different route, then there is a ferry running from Brixham Harbour between the months of April and October. For these wanting to explore the great outdoors, the surrounding Devon countryside offers picturesque landscapes, rugged coastal vistas, and some stunning walking trails. Dartmoor National Park is also a 30-minute drive away.
