Nestled in the rolling countryside of Worcestershire, at the foot of the Malvern Hills, this handcrafted lodge makes for a peaceful rural escape for couples or families. Surrounded by beautiful gardens which are set over three levels and with a green roof, the lodge blends in with its natural surroundings. Explore the stunning landscape during the day, before returning for a dip in the hot tub and to get dinner going on the barbecue or relaxing in the sauna. End the day snuggled up on the huge sofa in front of the log burner inside.
Step inside via the large glazed door into the bright and spacious open-plan living area. The cosy living area with its big sofa, log burner and smart TV is divided from the kitchen by the oak-top breakfast bar. Pull up one of the bar stools which have been made from tractor seats, a creative nod to the lodge’s location on a working farm.
The main bedroom features a luxurious super king-size bed, which can also be split into twin beds. There’s a window seat overlooking the patio and a roof light which helps the room feel spacious and airy. There’s also a patio door so you can step straight outside and off towards the hot tub. The shower room has a large, rainfall shower head and fluffy towels waiting for you. Space for two more can be made by making up the sofa bed in the living room.
The beautiful gardens invite you to spend as much time outside as possible. On the first level, there's a lawn picnic area with a table and a covered, oak-framed swing seat. Step down to the patio level where you’ll find the wood-fired hot tub with hornbeam and rose-planted borders offering plenty of privacy. Head down the final few steps to the patio and the outdoor cooking area, fully equipped with an Ooni pizza oven and a Kamando barbecue, surrounded by beautiful dry stone walls.
There’s plenty to do in the local area, not least exploring the spectacular flora and fauna of the Malvern Hills. Head to the top of any of the hills and you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of the Severn Valley or the Wye Valley or even as far as the Welsh Mountains. Explore by foot, by bike or even canoe your way through the Wye Valley. Enjoy a day trip out at Eastnor Castle or try some of the local cider at Westons Cider Museum. Mountain biking is on offer in the Forest of Dean or you could even have a go at making your own crockery at Eastnor Pottery.
