The Detail...
Head into the great outdoors and experience the beauty of nature, while still enjoying comfort and luxury, at Lloyd’s Meadow Glamping. This family-run site is in the heart of rural Cheshire and is just a mile from Delamere Forest.
Located in the lakeside meadow are five traditional, canvas bell tents - each nestled by one of the beautiful lakes. Each deluxe, five-metre tent sleeps two people and those stepping inside are greeted by their fantastic interior design and furnishings. This is a unique camping experience, with guests ensured a good night’s sleep in the double bed with feather and down duvet. Underfoot is carpeted with recycled cotton Chindi rugs ethically sourced from India.
The newly built shower and toilet facilities are just a short walk from the tent, while those staying are welcome to bring their own cooking equipment. Alternatively, they can save the hassle and simply hire a cooking pack from the hosts, which consists of everything needed, including a gas stove, pans, kettle, plates, cups, and crockery. There are also breakfast and barbecue packs available for something a little more special.
Lloyd’s Meadow Glamping allows those staying to get very close to the sights and sounds of nature for a truly tranquil experience. When night-time falls there are also great opportunities for stargazing due to the low light pollution in the Delamere area. For those who want to, they can also fish on the lakes - with tuition available for the less experienced.
Those who want to get out and about will be pleased to learn the heart of Delamere Forest is only a mile away. For those who prefer two wheels there are many cycling routes, including the 176-mile Cheshire Cycleway. Manley Mere is only two-and-a-half miles as well, with its array of water sports, outdoor swimming, and inflatable aqua park.
There is also a shop and pub within walking distance, as is Mouldsworth train station which sits on the Chester to Manchester line. Guests can be in the historic city of Chester within 10 minutes by train and see all it has to offer. Head to Chester Cathedral and experience its falconry and nature gardens, explore the city’s museums, or see some horse racing at Chester Racecourse.
