The details
Cute, cosy and comfortable, full of stylish touches and modern conveniences, The Snug is the perfect getaway for couples looking to unwind and relax surrounded by stunning Cheshire countryside. Follow pretty flower-lined pathways to the front door of this cute bolthole. The doorway is framed by hanging baskets and flower-filled plant pots while heritage green painted doors and windows perfectly compliment the building's traditional Cheshire handmade bricks.
Guests enter directly into the living, dining and kitchen where they will find everything they need for a successful stay. The bespoke handmade kitchen comes complete with all the bits and pieces required to create everything from late breakfasts to romantic suppers. It includes a vintage-style fridge, cooker, microwave, and, perhaps most importantly, a dishwasher.
A deep, cosy sofa can be found to one side of the kitchen, where couples can cuddle up after dinner or guests can keep the cook company while they prepare picnics or pour drinks. A cute dining area for two makes a lovely spot to enjoy those romantic suppers by candlelight. Or simply hang out with drinks and snacks and watch a film on the flatscreen television that's positioned on the wall.
On the ground level, guests will also find a lovely bathroom with Heritage gold fittings, complementary eco-friendly toiletries and large, fluffy towels.
At bedtime, head upstairs to the delightful bedroom. The comfortable double bed is dressed with crisp linens and there is plenty of space to store belongings in the fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is an additional television in the bedroom for an extra touch of luxury. The bedroom has a door which leads to a private flagstone terrace with built-in bench seating and an outdoor table and chairs. It is a lovely, peaceful spot to enjoy morning coffee while planning the day, or perhaps a dinner in the late summer evening light.
There are plenty of lovely spots to discover in the local area including the beautiful Delamere Forest, Marbury Park and the Trent and Mersey Canal. From the doorstep, take a short hike to Norley where guests will find a good shop, perfect for stocking up on picnic goodies. And for eating out, check out the dog and family friendly Hare & Hounds in Crowton or head to The Tigers Head in Norley, they serve their own house gin.
