  The Detail...

Established over fifteen years ago on a twenty acre smallholding and woodland, Larkhill Tipis & Yurts is a small collection of tipis and yurts in Carmathenshire, west Wales, available to rent. With extraordinary views over the Welsh countryside, and a versatile combination of yurt sizes and styles, Larkhill Tipis & Yurts is the perfect glamping option for families, couples, and groups of friends looking to spend time in the beauty and atmosphere of the Welsh countryside and coast.

Larkhill Tipis & Yurts offers a number of different options, all with state-of-the art shells, carefully designed wood-burning options, and ample space for multiple guests. The Alachigh is inspired by the nomadic Shahsavan tribe, and sleeps six in a light and airy tent with timber furniture and flooring to create a comfortable space which is popular with families. With an eight meter diameter, the Alachigh is the most spacious tent. The interior has been judiciously furnished with an oak breakfast bar, a mesh-protected central wood-burning stove, and four single beds as well as a double, in addition to ample rugs, cushions and a sofa. With a timber chest for storage and a gas hob, the Alachigh truly has everything you need for a magical time away with friends or family.

Perched on a raised platform in a sedate clearing, the Bentwood Yurt s a high-roofed cosy tent for up to four guests. Complete with wood-burning stove and seemingly endless soft rugs and pillows, the Bentwood is a super-cosy yurt inspired by the Kazakh and Uzbek designs.

Drawing on traditional Mongolian designs, the Ger is set on the edge of the four acre woodland, providing sleeping space for four between one double bed and two singles, all crafted from pine wood. As standard for Larkhill yurts, it comes with a woodburner and an internal gas burner cooker. Outside furniture and a bright internal palette complete the Gers aesthetic. As well as the wood-burning stove, the Ger comes with a private outdoor campfire, perfect for cooking over or simply relaxing around.

The final two options are the Tipi and the Lavvu, equally charming and gorgeous tents for four guests sleeping between two singles and one double. Each has basic cooking facilities, a wood-burning stove, and a combination of timber furniture and soft fabric, as well as a private outdoor space.

The site itself is magical, safe and utterly beguiling, making use of stepping stones, fairy lights and natural clearings to create a space youll be reluctant to leave. Within close distance via car are the sandy beaches and unspoiled gems of two bays, Cardigan and Carmarthen, while the surrounding region is a trove of countryside, amazing views, small settlements and quaint shops.
