Tucked away in the Angus hills in the Glen Isla valley, you will find the Kilry Eco Pods. These two delightful cabins have been constructed using the best materials with environmental impact firmly in mind. So, you can be assured that your stay will have a minimal carbon footprint. Besides being fully equipped with all necessary mod cons, they are situated amidst gorgeous Scottish countryside - and just a short drive from the Cairngorms National Park. For those who enjoy the quiet and tranquillity of the great outdoors, look no further than Kilry Eco Pods. Each cabin sleeps two guests, making for the perfect couple's retreat, or even a family getaway. Oh, and why not bring along a four-legged friend or two?
The pods are entered through a set of patio doors. The interior is surprisingly spacious and clad with the finest timber. The main living area has a well-equipped kitchenette and an expandable dining table for two meaning you and your loved one can prepare and enjoy romantic meals throughout your stay. To one side, you will find a comfy double bed adorned with fine linens. To the other is the separate bathroom, complete with a WC, wash basin, and a walk-in shower with hot water. Outside, each pod has a BBQ and a picnic bench, which makes for a lovely spot for some al fresco meal prep and dinners enjoyed out under the sun. There is also a firepit, perfect for enjoying an evening tipple as you take in the unpolluted starry midnight skies.
You will be perfectly positioned to enjoy the gorgeous scenery of Glen Isla. The local area is replete with various walks, hikes, and cycle trails. Nearby, you will find the Cateran trail too. There are also options for kayaking and mountain biking in the region. If a spot of golf is your thing, the clubs of Blairgowrie, Kirriemuir, and Glamis Castle are all within driving distance. A short drive to the north is Cairngorms. This national park features the synonymous mountain range and is the largest national park in the UK. For those of a more urban inclination, the city of Dundee is a 30-minute drive south. Named by GQ magazine as the 'Coolest Little City in Britain', Dundee boasts museums, galleries, various bars and restaurants, and a thriving night life.
