Two luxury Brochs overlooking the legendary Angus Glens, with a chic, country finish and exclusive spa…
The Brochs at Balbinny offer a distinctive luxury combining contemporary comfort with Scotland’s rich, cultural heritage. Huddled in a gorgeous landscape beside woodlands, ponds and rivers, they are unique, little hideouts where you can reconnect with nature. Look out across the pastures and over the flourishing Angus Glens or look up to see the magnificent peaks of the epic Cairngorms. With a chic, country finish and inspirational views, these two Balbinny Brochs will cast their spell on you.
As you approach the characterful Brochs, through the untouched farmland paths, you may feel a sense of enchantment oozing from the land. Brimming with charisma and with a storybook charm, both Lethnot and Esk cottages have a mythical façade. Flat, grass roofs sit atop ancient, curved walls, while hobbit-like windows peer out over the world. Recycled stone walls add to their legendary stature and create an authentic finish with a true Scottish craftsmanship.
Step beyond the front doors and you’ll be amazed by what you see, as historic traditions transform into modern interiors. Floor-to-ceiling windows follow the curve of the walls and offer breath-taking panoramas of the dramatic mountains ranges. Open-plan living areas are stylish and sleek and have bare, wooden floorboards and a neutral colour scheme. Wood-burning stoves are surrounded by designer sofas, while the kitchens are a food-lovers haven.
Each of the Broch’s has room for up to four across a master double bedroom and a deluxe double/twin. Each of the rooms has an impressive en-suite with either a powerful rain shower or an indulgent bath tub. Feature headboards make a statement in the master rooms and frame super-king size mattresses topped with traditional Scottish fabrics.
Exclusive leisure facilities can also be found around the farm and include a fully-equipped gym and spa complex. Relax in the Jacuzzi or take a dip in the heated pool before booking yourself a massage in one of the private treatment rooms.
If you want to explore the majestic landscapes then don your walking boots and head out for adventure. Hearty walks can be enjoyed throughout the area and can reveal the true beauty of Scotland’s Angus region. Discover the Aberlemno Pictish Stones or the wild, secluded beaches, before spotting fascinating roman ruins and crumbling castles. Endless outdoor pursuits can also be enjoyed nearby, while Dundee, Perth and Aberdeen are less than an hour’s drive. Closer to home you’ll find an array of quaint, local villages, including beautiful Brechin and the market town of Forfar.
