Cool domes, comfy beds, gorgeous country scenery and wood fired hot tubs - the perfect glamping spot in Britain’s smallest county.
A family run glamping spot, In The Stix offers guests a comfy place to stay surrounded by gorgeous countryside. Set in the heart of stunning Rutland, you can reconnect with the great outdoors, and enjoy all of the benefits of a camping holiday with the added bonus of pure comfort, inside one of four geodesic domes. Sitting in a beautiful valley, In The Stix is a great place from which to explore the pretty countryside that the smallest county in the country has to offer. The perfect spot for groups of friends or families, from the moment you arrive you’ll be blown away by the comfort and relaxation on offer.
Sit back on your comfy chesterfield sofa with a glass of wine and get your log burner going for a cosy night in. Enjoy a wonderful night’s sleep in a super comfy bed before waking up to the peace and tranquility of the countryside. The four domes are positioned carefully in order to create privacy, however, they’re not so far apart that you feel like you’re all on your own. There’s a sense of community as you wish your neighbours a good morning before heading out to explore the area.
Functional, but with a luxurious twist, the domes are individually designed and can accommodate up to six adults and children. The unique mezzanine design means there is privacy as well as plenty of space to stretch out. The domes even come with their very own bathroom, with a flushing toilet and a shower, meaning there are no more late night dashes across a muddy field to the dreaded shower block. On top of this, each dome comes with its own wood-fired hot tub for that added touch of luxury.
Lovers of the great outdoors will be pleased to know that there are plenty of wonderful walks and cycling routes right on your doorstep. Not only this but you can also head out and go sailing or windsurfing on one of the nearby beaches. Other activities to be enjoyed nearby include fishing, climbing, golf and birdwatching. You can also head out and visit one of a number of country houses in the area. Feel free to use your own field kitchen with a wood-fired oven, perfect for cooking up some delightful dinners. But if you fancy trying a local pub or restaurant, then guests will be pleased to know there are a number of fantastic spots to eat nearby. Escape the trappings of day-to-day living and enjoy the serenity of nature, without the hassles of a normal camping trip.
