The Details...

This romantic couple’s retreat is set in the picturesque gardens of Kestle Barton, with beautiful creek-side walks, cosy pubs, charming fishing villages and pristine beaches all nearby. An imaginative, award-winning barn conversion, this pristine and elegant living space still revels in all of its rustic rural charm, whilst maintaining an incredible level of modern, cutting edge luxury. The high ceiling and white walls combine with the French doors to ensure that the entire property is filled with plenty of natural light.

This historic barn has been lovingly converted into a great holiday home for any couple looking to explore this gorgeous and enchanting part of Cornwall. Inside, the building retains its two storey height, with the bedroom sitting separately up in the eaves, ensuring Howthere Barn is both spacious and intimate. The delightful living area has a nice comfy sofa, a large TV with a DVD player and a fabulous inset wood burning stove, all of which add up to offer the perfect cosy night in as the autumn winds howl outside. There’s also underfloor heating, beneath the striking oak floorboards to offer an extra touch of warmth. The open plan ground floor also has a nice kitchen, kitted out with everything you could need to cook up some delicious food; a quaint dining area perfect for two; and a separate modern bathroom with a nice warm shower.

Once you’ve made your way up the open-tread stairs, the bedroom space will take your breath away. Not only can you enjoy an incredibly comfortable night’s sleep in the giant super king sized bed, but you also have a luxurious and romantic double-ended, free-standing bath tub. You may never want to leave this delightful bolthole. You also have your own small private patio, where you can sit and enjoy your coffee in the morning sunshine.

Howthere Barn is situated in the ancient farmstead of Kestle Barton and also on the grounds sits a lovely art gallery that you’re free to explore. Venture further afield, however, and you can take in the sights of Frenchman’s Creek as well as some wonderful south Cornish beaches. You’re also perfectly located to explore the Lizard Heritage Coast, one of this country’s most beautiful coastlines, that has the warmest climate in Britain. The bustling seaside town of Falmouth is also a short drive away and has some cracking pubs, restaurants and cafes for you to try out.
