The detail

This 17th-century Grade II listed farmhouse has been thoughtfully furnished to offer guests a luxurious experience while retaining the original character of the building. The open fireplaces and wooden beams running throughout the house create a warm and inviting atmosphere and the five large bedrooms make it perfect for family gatherings or large groups. The rural countryside location between the Malvern and Brendon Hills provides a fantastic base from which to explore the beautiful landscape and market towns of Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.

The large living spaces, such as the lounge, the dining room which seats 14 and the kitchen are ideal for socialising. In the lounge, you’ll find comfy sofas gathered around a fireplace with oak panelling and beams overhead, creating a cosy atmosphere. There’s also a snug with a TV which is a great place to keep the kids entertained while you prepare dinner. The traditional farmhouse-style kitchen has a magnificent four oven Aga and a large refectory table which seats 12 and makes a great spot for breakfast.

Make your way upstairs via one of the two staircases and take your pick of one of the five bedrooms. Sloping ceilings, wooden beams and panelling give each of these bedrooms its own charming character. You’ll also find three shower rooms and a family bathroom which has a luxurious roll-top bath, the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the local countryside.

Head out into the large landscaped garden and you’ll find a lawn which is ideal for outdoor games, a hot tub and a south-facing patio with a gas barbecue and furniture. Discover the delightful pond, which also has a seating area, at one end of the garden and the African hut at the other.

The rural location means that keen walkers have miles of countryside to explore and there are some excellent country pubs where you can stop off and recover over a real ale and a hearty meal. Just a couple of miles away is the charming riverside towns of Tewkesbury, Pershore and Upton upon Severn, which hosts garden, food and music festivals. A little further down the road are the grand gardens and parklands of Croome Court, National trust, which cover over 4,500 acres of beautiful landscape. The world-famous Cheltenham Race Course is also just 10 miles away.
