You’ll be forgiven for pinching yourself when you step inside Hencote Grange for the first time. This spacious country house in Shrewsbury is beautiful and perfect for big groups looking to escape to the country. The open plan living, kitchen and dining space is bright and elegant, making it perfect for socialising with friends after a day out exploring the area.
Despite having a traditional, rustic appeal, there are some wonderful little touches of luxury that make this home so special. The corner sofa has space for the whole group to curl up and chat by the glow of the log burner, and there’s a second living area too, offering plenty of space to settle down for a catch up over a glass of bubbly. For those special meals with the group, you’ll find a kitchen to inspire even the most reluctant of cooks. Granite worktops, an island, and a double range oven make cooking for the group a pleasure.
When it’s time to unwind, the bubbling hot tub outside makes the perfect way to enjoy the peace and quiet of the lawned garden and chat under the stars. And then there are the bedrooms…with a king size or a super king size bed in each one, you’ll be treated to a little slice of Heaven no matter which one you opt for. Every bedroom has an en suite, with the master bedroom having its own steam room.
Set on the banks of the River Severn, Shrewsbury is one of the country’s most picturesque medieval towns. Dotted with flowers and parks, and renowned for the historic Shrewsbury Abbey, this bustling town’s home to a bustling shopping scene, restaurants, bars and some unforgettable days out.
