Stay in a beautifully refurbished country cottage in the hamlet of Clee Stanton in Shropshire at Timberstone. Perfectly blending traditional rural charm with contemporary design, it is ideal for a large gathering of friends and family who want to escape to the country.
The spacious house is home to four en-suite rooms, each with a king size bed. The Oak Room and Slate Room are in the oldest part of Timberstone and have wooden beams and wonderful views across the garden, or across to Clee Hill. Both also have sofa beds that can be made up on request, while Slate Room has a single bed as well. Then there is Dhustone Room and Clay Room, with the latter having a romantic balcony offering wide reaching views.
The house itself has wonderful rural charm, whilst still offering modern touches and furnishings. There are large social spaces such as the sitting and dining rooms, while there is also an outdoor dining area and barbecue for making the absolute most of the property. You can also sit in the conservatory, bathed in natural light, and enjoy a book and a glass of wine in style.
The large farmhouse style kitchen has all of the modern appliances you'll need to cook up a storm for your group. And with the dining table and living room all together in the same space, you can socialise with your designated cook whilst they prepare your meal.
"The Retreat" in the garden of the main house can also be included for an additional cost. It has a king sized bed, sofa bed, ensuite bathroom, small kitchenette & a wood burner.
Although located right in the heart of the Shropshire countryside, those staying can easily explore plenty in the surrounding area. The market town of Ludlow with its independent shops, pubs, and restaurants is only five miles away, while in the Severn valley is Bridgnorth and its wonderful steam railway. For those who enjoy history there is Berrington Hall, Croft and Powis Castles, and Ironbridge Gorge.
