  The Detail...

Within in a stones throw of the Welsh border, Hales Barn Bucknell sits on the edge of the Shropshire Hills in its own private garden. This relaxed space offers much more than a great location, including a large open-plan living space and three stylish bedrooms.

The barn has been impressively converted, with the inclusion of large windows all along the side giving you the best possible views of the gardens. You also have a deck out the front, and a gravel area with seating perfect for drinks in the evenings.

The kitchen is one you will instantly feel at home in, equipped with everything you could need, including a fridge freezer and double oven. Everyone can gather around the rustic wooden dining table, before adjourning to the garden after dinner. There will be some essentials waiting for you too, including milk, tea and coffee always nice to find on arrival.

Soft, colourful chairs and a velvet sofa make lounging in front of the suspended log fire a very relaxing affair. Youve got books, games, TV and the internet to entertain you, or you could go for a soak in the luxurious deep bath.

The bathroom also features a walk-in power shower, and serves three cosy bedrooms the master, a double and a twin. All enjoy views of the gardens. No better way of starting the day than by breathing in that fresh country air.

An additional cabin in the barns gardens allows you to accommodate a further two guests, and has its own living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen even its own deck. Cosy, comfy and pretty special in its own right.

Its a short walk from the barn to the village of Bucknell, where there are a few shops, a post office and pub. This is a pretty little place, surrounded by open countryside, so there are endless possibilities for long walks, or maybe you would prefer mountain biking in the woods? Whatever you choose, there is plenty of storage space back at the barn for your gear.

Trains also call at Bucknell, running from Swansea to Shrewsbury, with a few dozen stops in between. Its a very scenic route, and well worth hopping onboard. You are also within a short drive of the larger town of Knighton, which really straddles the border the town is in Wales, but the railway station is in Shropshire! You will be right by Offas Dyke here, and its less than 15 minutes away.

With foodie capital Ludlow and pretty Bishops Castle not much further, you will be well-placed to discover the delights of this beautiful county at Hales Barn Bucknell.
