Set overlooking Whitsand Bay on the Cornish coast and with breathtaking ocean views, Fulmar is a five-bedroom holiday cottage, perfect for family holidays or group trips. A rooftop terrace with a hot tub and two balconies all make the most of the scenery and the house is just a stone’s throw from the beach.
At the bottom of the property, you’ll find a double garage that doubles as a games room with a ping pong table. There’s a stand for your surfboards and bikes and an area to store wetsuits after a long day at the beach. Leave your coats and sandy boots in the lobby and head upstairs to the first floor. This is where you’ll find three of the five bedrooms. Two of these share a bathroom and can be made up into twin rooms or doubles with king-size beds. The master bedroom has an ensuite with a luxurious bathtub, big enough for two. These bedrooms all have sliding doors that lead out onto a balcony from which you can enjoy the spectacular sea views.
Carry on up the stairs to the bright and airy second floor which is home to the spacious open plan living and kitchen area. Open the doors to the balcony and let in some of the fresh sea air as you relax on the big comfy sofas, enjoy a big family dinner or whip up a pre-surf breakfast. There is another double bedroom on this floor with an adjoining bathroom. A little further up the stairs, you’ll find the cinema room which features a spacious sofa bed that can sleep another two guests.
At the top of the house, there’s a roof terrace with sweeping views out over the ocean. This space is a real sun trap so you can lie back and soak up the rays or enjoy alfresco meals. You can also enjoy those spectacular views from the comfort of the hot tub.
Fulmar is located in the hamlet of Portwrinkle on the south coast of Cornwall. The house is just moments away from the sandy beach and the pretty harbour. You’ll find the friendly village pub a short 10-minute stroll up the road and any golfers might want to put their skills to the test on the links golf course while enjoying the beautiful view. There are lots of other beaches to explore up and down the coast or you can pull on your walking boots and enjoy a bracing coastal walk right from the front door.
