This stunning wooden cabin, which sleeps four, offers the ultimate in peaceful seclusion with its own private lake and everything you could need to enjoy water-based activities. Or if relaxation is more your thing, chill out on the furnished deck or in the hot tub and just enjoy the views of the wonderful South Downs. The cabin is comfortably but rustically furnished in sympathy with its surroundings and is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway in the heart of the countryside.
Downstairs, you will find a large but cosy open plan space consisting of a lounge, kitchen and dining area. The walls are wood panelled and the room features natural fabrics, furniture and colours which carry on the rustic vibe. There is also a wood burning stove to add to the snug ambience and give you an ideal spot to curl up with a book or take advantage of the board games, puzzles and DAB radio.
The kitchen area with its large wooden dining table is well stocked with every home comfort and features an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and a coffee maker for those quiet mornings when you fancy a fresh coffee overlooking the lake.
There are also bunkbeds tucked away off this room which are sure to be a hit with the younger party members but are also suitable for the not so young. The loo is on this floor which makes it easily accessible for those who struggle with stairs.
The main bedroom upstairs is a large, airy room under the eaves which boasts a huge emperor size bed, a luxurious, freestanding bathtub and double doors which open out onto a view across the lake. All your sumptuous bedding, towels and bathrobes are provided for that spa feeling.
Large bifold doors open from the living space out onto the expansive decking area where you can indulge any mood. Whether it’s chilling in the hot tub, gathering around the firepit to cook marshmallows or dining under the stars with the sounds of nature around you. Feeling a bit more active? Take a refreshing dip in the lake or enjoy your own rowing boat, raft, canoe and paddle board. Wetsuits are available if that’s too chilly for you and you can warm up under the hot outdoor shower afterwards.
The gorgeous village of Ditchling which will provide a choice of pubs, shops and restaurants is a couple of miles away and the towns of Burgess Hill and Hassocks are just down the road too. Vibrant Brighton is nearby and there are a multitude of activities in the area including horse riding, cycling, golf and hiking, all within the beauty of the South Downs National Park.
