With its beautifully-crafted modern interior, private wood-fired hot tub, wood-burning stove and enchanting setting, Dipper’s Hut makes a luxurious and relaxing base from which to explore Gloucestershire's incredible Forest of Dean.
Inside this light and airy space you’ll find everything you could need for a wonderfully comfortable retreat. The open plan space offers a double bed and a kitchen and dining area, delightfully crafted with bespoke wooden fittings painted in cool whites and warm blues.
At one end, the double bed sits cosily under a curved roof, where you can sink into luxurious white cotton percale bedding and fall asleep to the sounds of the forest and the babbling brook below your window.
The kitchen area is equipped to create a romantic meal for two. There’s a two-ring induction hob, fridge (with ice compartment), toaster and, of course, a kettle for that all important morning cup of tea. For cooler nights, a wood-burning stove and an electric heater helps keep things nice and toasty, so you can rest up and unwind no matter the time of year.
The bathroom, at the far end of the hut, boasts an oak washstand, basin, WC, heated towel rail and shower. Here you’ll find luxury bath robes and spa footwear, ready to don before you to take a dip in the wood-fired hot tub outside.
With little unnatural light in this area, you’ll get a fantastic view of the sky on a clear night as you soak or dine under the stars. By day, the private patio affords a lovely view of the ¾ acre island gardens and meandering stream, all with the breathtaking backdrop of the forest.
The patio comes equipped with a bistro table and chair set, barbecue and comfy Adirondack chairs. Guests also have shared access to the gardens, which have sun loungers and a gazebo - the perfect spot for a picnic.
Dipper’s Hut is ideally situated within the Forest of Dean, with all of its attractions within a 10 mile radius. There are many fabulous walks, bike rides and mountain biking trails to explore close to the accommodation. You’ll find water sports at the nearby Wye Valley, as well as famous sites such as Tintern Abbey and Symonds Yat. There are many fantastic pubs and restaurants within a short drive and the historic towns of Chepstow, Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth are all within a half hour’s drive.
