This charming, cosy cabin offers couples a romantic retreat in a peaceful Herefordshire wood. Tucked away three miles from the nearest main road, you and your loved one can truly escape the trappings of day to day life here, relaxing in the tranquility of nature.
When you arrive, you’ll love the peaceful woodland around you and the way that the cabin blends nicely into its surroundings. Outside is a wonderful deck, where comfy loungers sit next to a firepit. Put your feet up, grab a glass of something delicious and stay toasty and warm as the flames flicker away. There’s also a lovely alfresco dining table on the deck that sets the scene for warm summer lunches with a view.
Inside, the cabin is comfy and cosy, with a wood-burning fireplace ensuring you stay nice and warm whatever the weather outside. However, on hot days, you can open up the French doors and let the fresh air in, connecting you perfectly to the woodland outside.
The cabin’s kitchen is nicely equipped with a fridge, microwave oven and a two-burner gas hob, so you’ve got plenty of options when it comes to meal prep. And, you’ve also got a BBQ on the deck, which makes grilling up local produce a breeze. You can dine outside on the deck, or inside on the nicely sized dining table.
When eyes grow weary, the cabin has a luxuriously appointed bedroom with a king size bed that sits next to a double aspect window. This is the ideal spot for a peaceful night’s sleep and the perfect location for a morning cuppa in bed gazing out at the view. The cabin’s bathroom has a large shower and a modern compost toilet.
The cabin sits on a small, eco-conscious farm known for its “Wonderfully Tasty Salad Leaves”, grown without chemicals and stocked in top local shops and Gloucester Services. Guests can also buy seasonal vegetables and pasture-fed meat raised on-site, including pork, lamb and poultry.
Deerfold Cabin offers peace, quiet and total immersion in nature - yet it’s just a 10-minute drive from award-winning restaurants, cosy country pubs and the historic Parlour Pub in Leintwardine. The surrounding area is rich with public footpaths, woodlands and charming villages, including those along the Black and White Trail. Ludlow, Leominster, Hay-on-Wye and Presteigne are all within 30 minutes, offering castles, markets, theatres, festivals, antique shops and literary heritage.
