  The Detail...

Located with far reaching views of unspoilt countryside on a working farm near Market Bosworth on the Leicestershire and Warwickshire borders, these secluded canvas cottages offer a luxurious alternative to traditional camping escapes. Without the interruptions of mod-cons, these rural retreats combine the simplicity of outdoor living with candlelit vintage interiors to create the romance of country life. The five six-person cottages are dotted around the Spinney five-acre field and are exclusively placed to ensure that each enjoys its own private retreat against an earthy, rural backdrop.

The cottages have been stylishly designed with a vintage chic farmhouse appeal incorporating pretty floral fabrics with wooden latched doors and rustic dark wood furniture. A wood burning stove and oven creates a wonderful centrepiece and is perfect for enjoying some of the delicious, handmade local foods. Additional touches, including an old-fashioned kitchen dresser, the butlers sink, , wooden dining table and a whistling kettle add to the cosy, farmhouse appeal and make this a truly unique country hideaway.

Ideal for families and friends, each of the cottages has one double and one twin bedroom with an additional third double bedroom hidden in a secret, adjoined wooden cabin. Cosy beds are teamed with quintessentially British furnishings throughout to create a relaxing and tranquil abode while the, ensuite bathroom offers a proper plumbed in toilet, shower and roll-top bath with an abundance of hot water. Outside there is a large veranda which is perfect for reading a book, savouring the view and enjoying a chilled glass of wine.

The area surrounding the cottages is perfect for nature lovers. The mature woodland and traditional hedgerows are havens for woodland creatures, including badgers, foxes and deer, and are great for fairy tale childhood adventures. Stroll through the fields to spy on the local birdlife or head to the owners farm to meet the playful goat herds or to help collect the fresh eggs from the hens. The local area also has much to offer with excellent places to eat at nearby picturesque Market Bosworth, plus cycling through The National Forest, topical history at the Battle of Bosworth exhibition, Bosworth Country Park, the National Space Centre and castles galore within easy driving distance.

After a long day out in the country air, the cottages are the perfect place to retreat to. An enchanting trail of tea lights and lanterns can be lit for a truly magical feel before listening to the evening woodland creatures and watching the moonlit star-studded sky. Take advantage of the vintage games compendium to complete your evening before heading off to prepare for your next countryside adventure.
