Relax in the hot tub after a day exploring the Dorset countryside at this utterly charming country cottage
Please note that the minimum stay for this property is 3 nights
Formerly two farm workers’ cottages, they have been lovingly restored to become one idyllic rural holiday home that is ideal for anyone looking to relax and unwind in the charming Dorset countryside.
Sleeping up to seven guests, the interior design has maintained its rugged, country feel whilst also having a modern twist for added comfort. This really is an idyllic, comfy, and peaceful place to rest and recuperate. Sleek white walls combine with exposed beams and the wooden floor in the living room, while a comfy sofa and armchairs sit in front of the original fireplace - which is now home to a log burner to ensure the cottage stays warm whatever the weather.
The farmhouse style kitchen with stone flooring is fully equipped with a range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge-freezer. There is also a breakfast bar with stools and a large dining table seating up to eight people; as well as a further log burner and separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
There are four bedrooms which offer maximum flexibility to accommodate all different sorts of groups. There is one double and one single, while two further bedrooms can either be king size or twins depending on the requirements, courtesy of zip and link beds. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath and shower overhead. There is also a downstairs WC.
Heading outside reveals the beautiful gardens with their stunning views across the surrounding countryside. A large decked area is home to outdoor furniture and a gas barbecue so those staying can enjoy alfresco dining in the warmer months of the year. There is also a hot tub and a trampoline so guests of all ages can be kept entertained.
The village of Symondsbury itself is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is just a short stroll away, and is home to a pub and cafe. Several walking and cycling trails can also be discovered right on the doorstep. Meanwhile, the town of Bridport is less than two miles away and has events throughout the year. A little further on again is West Bay - the location for ITV’s hit TV show Broadchurch - which is situated on the historic Jurassic Coast and has independent shops, eateries, boat trips, and more.
