The detail

Cocotrullo, perched on a hill, comprises of several connected 'trullos', traditional conical buildings unique to the Apulian countryside. The villa is a piece of art, designed for both comfort and beauty, and would be ideal for a large family holiday or a group of friends wanting to unwind in luxurious surroundings.

The interconnected cones lead initially into a small alcove sitting area with original limestone floors that give you a taste of the design and style of the rest of this stunning villa. You'll be greeted by a wonderful installation called 'Butterfly' that presents hundreds of small butterflies streaming up and across the walls. All of the interior brick walls have been painted white to provide a light and calming atmosphere, and are also a perfect base for the artistic flourishes throughout.

The interior is large and spacious and the curved conical walls provide a cosy softness to the layout which is incredibly inviting. The living room is simple and elegant with soft comfortable seating and wicker chairs, low tables and eclectic art all around.

The kitchen mixes rural and modern to create a stylish and multi-functional space with a freestanding steel island and bamboo-covered high chairs where you can sit with a morning coffee or a glass of wine as the chefs among you enjoys this very well equipped culinary dream.

There are four lovely bedrooms each with their own theme. One unmistakably botanical, another presenting a bold blue wall with a yellow mirror, the third deliberately simple for the minimalist soul and then a fourth room called 'Biococca' which boasts a huge window for those who want to immerse themselves in nature.

All of the rooms have their own ensuites, again, pieces of art in their own right, to be enjoyed. As you explore the house you'll feel like you're at a gallery that you can put your feet up in! Enjoy the hand painted plates on the walls, the carefully curated little areas and the fabulous simple lines in the decor.

There's underfloor heating for chillier nights, a laundry service and all of the little extras that make this villa a truly luxurious experience.

Outside is just as delightful with a wonderful covered cabana area where you can sit back with a glass of something delicious and eat some local delicacies. There's a beautiful infinity pool with a great view and a chromotherapy jacuzzi, after which you can enjoy an outdoor shower if you so wish. And in the evening you can fire up the BBQ and watch the night sky. Plenty of sun loungers and seating ensures a perfect chill area for all. You'll also be surrounded by olive, almond and fig trees which you can help yourself to during the seasons.

You'll be perfectly placed to visit the beautiful surrounding villages including Cisternino, Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Ceglie Messapica, Francavilla Fontana, Grottaglie and Ostuni. And it's the best place from which to discover the impressive coast from the Adriatic to the Ionian Sea.

If you fancy indulging in some luxury extras you can book a private chef, yoga, a massage, and if you're feeling crafty, there's a basket making course too which is an ancient art in the area. Or just float in the infinity pool and wait for someone to bring you some olives.
