Just a minute from the dunes and beaches of Camber Sands in East Sussex is the eco-friendly holiday home - The Camber Sands Beach Guest House. Inspired by the homes in the Hamptons in the US with a shingle and black clapboard finish, this is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax and unwind in the sea air. And as it's a dog-friendly property, you can bring your canine companions with you for the break!
Accommodating up to 10 guests, inside is spacious and the open plan living room and kitchen is the social heart of the house. At one end is the seating area with comfy sofas and armchairs, sitting by glass doors which open out onto the garden. There is also a TV and fireplace to keep things cosy and warm.
This then flows past two dining tables and chairs seating up to 10 people, and finally there is the stylish kitchen. This is fully equipped with two fridge/freezers, two ovens, a dishwasher, microwave, and a Nikola Tesla hob. Skylights allow light to flood into the space, where the design blends modern style with traditional touches.
There are four double bedrooms in the main building at Camber Sands Beach Guest House, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Every room has its own unique design and there is plenty of storage space. The fifth and final double bedroom is located in the garden house, so enjoys that added little bit of privacy and also has an en-suite shower room.
Those staying step out into the landscaped garden from the living area, allowing the inside and outside to become one. There are large patio areas around flower beds, along with an outdoor table and chairs for those who want to enjoy some alfresco dining.
Just a short stroll away is Camber Sands and the UNESCO protected beaches that this area is famous for. The spectacular sunsets in the area are also famous, and Europe’s only designated desert at Dungeness is only 20 mins away! For those who want to eat out The Clam Cafe, Rye Bay Grill, and Owl pub are all on the doorstep. Going a little further afield leads to the historic town of Rye with its independent shops and array of restaurants and bars. For the more sporty there is also a golf club and windsurfing academy in Rye. The local Charles Palmer and Tillingham wineries are also well worth a visit and offer tours and tastings.
Car parking in Camber is rare, I have parking for 6. A large enclosed garden with cooking facilities is also rare. I designed the house for guests and believe I am the only house with en suites for every bedroom and a downstairs bedroom with easy access for elderly or limited mobility guests. I can provide an excellent chef and pilates/ yoga instructors if required and can arrange airport/train station pick up if required. Dogs are very welcome, I can provide beds, blankets and have an outside shower with hot and cold water for pooches and humans
Our beautiful beach is one minute away from the house - although we are. not on the sand - medieval Rye is 10 mins drive with great shopping, sightseeing and eating. Hastings, steeped in history is a 30 minute drive and beautiful gardens like Great Dixter and Bodiam Castle are all within 30 mins drive too.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 2 nights low season & 3 nights high season

I stayed at Camber Beach Guest House last summer for the weekend. And it was perfect. I'm a dog walker and I was so surprised of just how lovely and homely it was for dog owners. Plenty of dog beds. Huge garden for dogs to have lots of play time, completely enclosed and safe. Also an outdoor dog shower which is perfect to clean sandy paws or for a nice little cool down on hot days. The beach is a very short walk away, and perfect for dogs to run freely on the sand. I cant wait to go back with my puppy and have a great little puppy holiday. Jeani is a great host & made me feel so welcome. Jeani herself is such a huge dog lover, so all dogs who stay are felt very welcomed & at home. If your looking for a beautiful stay away at the beach with your pooch or pooches, this should be top of your list! You will not be disappointed at all. Thankyou Jeani, can't wait to return with puppy Milo. Xx
