Head to the seaside at Blue Point, a haven right on Whitstable Beach that enjoys spectacular views across the water. With the harbour, fish markets, and the streets filled with independent shops and eateries just a short walk away, this is the perfect escape for families or friends.
Laid out across 3 floors, guests enter the property into a ground floor level dominated by the kitchen. Light floods into this space, which has been designed with a seaside feel, and is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and induction hob, and microwave. There is also a dining table seating 4 people and a sofa to relax in. Access to the balcony and its outdoor furniture is found through French doors and there is also a bathroom with walk in shower on this level, as well as a utility cupboard with washer/dryer.
Going upstairs leads to the light filled lounge, which comes complete with a TV and gas fire for the colder months. From its elevated position there is a different view across the waves from the raised window seat sofa and there is a further balcony with bistro table and chairs - the ideal setting for a glass of wine as the sun sets. A trundle bed can sleep a fifth person, while there is also a charming twin bedroom on this floor with built in wardrobe.
Finally, the second floor is home to the master bedroom with its king size bed and fitted wardrobe. The family bathroom with freestanding bath and walk in shower can also be found on this level. As well as the 2 balconies there is also a courtyard garden at the rear of Blue Point for further relaxation.
There are actually 2 beaches in the town - Whitstable West, which is ideal for dog walkers and has a pub almost on the sand, and Tankerton, which is better for bathing and exploring rock pools. The harbour is also worth a visit with its quirky shops and restaurants, while the historic city of Canterbury is only 7 miles away and can even by accessed by bike along the Crab and Winkle Way track.
