Blaven House stands out high on Pulpit Hill, a gleaming white house against mature trees and an idyllic landscape. With space for up to 14 guests in seven glorious double bedrooms, it’s the perfect place to relax, recharge and reconnect with friends and family. Nestled among the dramatic coastlines, picturesque villages and majestic mountains of the Highlands, Blaven House offers plenty to do inside and out. It’s your home from home in stunning West Scotland, boasting gorgeous views across Oban Bay and onto the Isle of Mull.

As you approach Blaven House up the (steep) hill, you’re greeted with a white beacon of comfort and luxury that contrasts with the wild Scottish landscapes. Enter the large reception hall and your eyes can’t help but be drawn to the grand staircase, the dark wood panelling and the deep red walls that urge you to relax. The open-plan kitchen and dining area, with separate cooks and breakfast kitchens, is off the reception hall and features everything you need to entertain guests and conjure up a range of culinary delights. The fully equipped kitchen can handle anything, whether it’s a cooked breakfast in the morning or a lavish evening meal. Why not get dressed up and sit around the huge dining table for an evening banquet?

Blaven House is built for entertaining groups of friends, family and loved ones whether it’s a special occasion or just taking some time out to reconnect. The Drawing Room is ideal for relaxing on the large sofas with a board game and a cold drink, while the TV Room is perfect for a movie night with popcorn and a blanket. For the competitive ones, the upstairs Games Room features a pool table, kids' toys and plenty of games. In the summer months, why not take a cold drink and bite to eat out in the wraparound garden to relax, or even fire up the BBQ?

As the night draws in and it’s time to head to bed, seven super-king size bedrooms (six of which have zip-and-link beds) are all adorned with luxury bedding to drift off under. Five double rooms feature ensuite bathrooms with baths and showers, while the third-floor master suite offers the utmost luxury. Sink into your freestanding roll top bath and use the complementary, locally-sourced toiletries to refresh and recharge.

Oban is your beautiful home from home in West Scotland. Famous for centuries as a resort town, it boasts narrow streets, a picturesque harbour and plenty of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Seafood lovers are particularly well-catered for, while there are supermarkets to stock up the fridge at home. Nature lovers are spoiled with coastal walks and mountain hikes directly from the door, while Ben Nevis and Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park are further afield. The ferry to the Isle of Mull leaves directly from Oban, perfect for a day of exploring grand castles, dramatic coastlines and historic distilleries.
