Dating back to the 18th century, The Mountain Grange sits within the idyllic Cairngorms National Park, just a stone's throw from the resort town of Aviemore. Besides being wonderfully positioned to explore all that the town and region has to offer, the lodge boasts three separate log fireplaces, a family and games room, a sauna, and an expansive garden with outdoor showers, furniture, a BBQ, and even a hot tub. With all of this, and arresting views of the Cairngorms, we can't think of a better place to spend time with your loved ones. Lucky for you, The Mountain Grange sleeps 15, so it's ideal for big groups looking to explore the Highlands.
To the front of the property, you will find the charming garden room, which then leads onto the large living room, featuring an eight-seater leather sofa, a large 4k TV, and a cosy wood burner. Perhaps the main focal point of the house is the gorgeous country kitchen. It contains a large dining table, ample workspace, and everything you could possibly need to throw together a delicious evening meal.
There are four bedrooms in all, each one expertly designed and with their own distinct character. The Master bedroom features a super king industrial bed and furniture with an ensuite bathroom, while the second super king has a stone wall and is designed in the baroque style with an ensuite shower room. The third room is French shabby chic, and has a king size bed, stunning views across the gardens and the Cairngorms, and another ensuite. Finally, the rustic family room has three single adult bunk beds and a bespoke designed super king size bed. Beneath the family bedroom is the large family/games room. This fantastic communal space has a pool table, Smart TV, and a PlayStation. There is also an additional family bathroom on the ground floor, as well as a sauna for added luxury.
Step outside and into the garden with its gorgeous views of the Cairngorms. Here, you will find a huge lawn, an outdoor dining area, a brick laid barbeque, a swing set (for the kids), and a beautiful fire pit area. Oh, and there's also a large hot tub where guests can enjoy a relaxing soak with a glass of something nice!
The holiday and resort town of Aviemore offers a wide range of activities, for adults and children alike. In the winter, it is popular for its skiing and other winter sports, while year-round activities include golfing (there are eight courses in the area), clay pigeon shooting at Rothiemurchus Estate, kayaking, a variety of other water sports and much more. The lodge is also ideally positioned to enjoy all the stunning scenery that the Cairngorms National Park has to offer, with its numerous walking, hiking and cycling trails.
