Enjoy the wonders of nature, whilst indulging in the comforts of luxury glamping at Black Pig Retreats. With three comfy safari tents on a gorgeous site in Dorset overlooking the Blackmore Vale, this is a peaceful, tranquil holiday destination for lovers of the great outdoors.
Spacious and comfortable, each tent is designed to offer a very enjoyable stay. Wood-burning stoves offer that extra level of cosiness, hot running water means you never have to worry about a cold shower, and lovely king-sized beds ensure you get the perfect night’s sleep.
After a day out, enjoying everything this glorious part of Britain has to offer, be sure to curl up in front of the fire with a cup of tea and a good book. Or in summer, spread out on your large deck and soak in some rays as you gaze out over the countryside.
Sleeping six people in comfort, Murciano is one of the largest tents available. With a big king-sized bed, a twin room and a double cabin bed on offer, this is the perfect tent for groups of family and friends. There’s also a nice communal living space with comfy leather sofas and a fully equipped kitchen. Murciano also has it’s own deck where you can enjoy some al fresco dining in the warmer months. This tent also has a shower with hot running water.
In a secluded meadow is the Mukota tent. This private tent has a fire-pit where you can sit and stay warm whilst watching the sun set over the fields. This stylish, rustic tent sleeps four people and has its own private bathroom inside a converted horse trailer.
The third tent is Gascon. This tent, which is furnished with a king-sized bedroom, an enclosed double cabin bed and a comfy twin room, can sleep six people. This makes it another great options for groups of friends and family. There's even hot running water in both the bathroom and the stylish hand-crafted kitchen.
On site there’s plenty of magical scenery to explore. Go for a wander around the fields and meadows, or head into the woods in search of wildlife. There’s also a babbling brook that runs through the farm. The farm itself was once a riding school, and is now still home to a few horses as well as some sheep, chickens, and two lovely large black pigs named Beauty and Belle.
Guests who wish to venture further afield will be pleased to know that this part of Dorset is rich with wonderful countryside. The Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is right on your doorstep, with plenty of marvellous scenery to enjoy. Guests can also drive an hour to the historical city of Bath, and Bristol is only slightly further. If you want to get away from the trappings of daily life and enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature, whilst indulging in a little bit of added luxury, then Black Pig Retreats is the place for you.
