  The Detail...

Pack a handful of essentials and experience the travelling lifestyle with a stay at this nomadic glamping sanctuary in the wild Sussex countryside. Nestled amongst an ancient woodland, and with a spiritual Mongolian-vibe, the Barefoot Yurts camp is a place to relax and revive. Watch for the epic sunrises and the starry night skies, swinging in your hammock and toasting marshmallows on the fire.

The Barefoot Yurts retreat is an exclusive traveller hideout inspired by the long-standing culture of the traditional Mongolian nomads. Peering out through a woodland copse over the magnificent Brede Valley, it is a private haven for couples or families.

Step into the larger Mongolian yurt to discover your spacious living room, which pairs calming whites with oriental blues. You can spread out across the white wooden floors and relax on the sofa with a good book whilst the roaring log burner keeps you nice and warm. Freshly picked flowers are a nice touch, while a clear rooftop skylight lets the sunlight flood in. Curl up beneath the throws and stargaze till late, playing endless board games and planning fun-filled days.

Retire to the neighbouring yurt to find a comfy double bedroom complete with bold, artistic rafters and central pillars. An oak-carved bedframe takes centre stage and offers guests a great night's sleep. Theres another log burner to keep things warm and toasty, along with some lovely fairy lights and bespoke, handmade furniture. For larger groups, two single beds can be added on request, while the sitting room sofa can be made into a comfy double bed.

A separate eco-cabin is a luxury finishing touch and has hot running water for added comfort. Cook in the well-equipped kitchen with its fridge, oven and hob, dining alfresco on the porch or at the farmhouse dining table. The modern shower room is a true glamping treat and has fresh towels and an adjoining compost loo.

The atmospheric camp is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, known for its enchanting forests and stunning, sandy beaches. Explore the pretty, wildflower meadows or the remote saltmarshes, stumbling upon fairy-tale castles and medieval battlegrounds. Visit the historic town of Rye with its quaint antique stores or beautiful Camber Sands with its windswept shores. Picnic in the fields and daydream in the hammock, switching off from the outside world and embracing a digital detox.
