The Detail...
Ty Twt is a beautifully crafted wooden cabin that offers a comfy and cosy spot for couples to relax whilst being surrounded by the natural beauty of North Wales. With Snowdonia National Park right on your doorstep, this idyllic haven in Conwy is ideal for a romantic break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Perfect as both a cosy winter escape, or a spot for a summer adventure, Ty Twt is a real labour of love. Inside a comfy sofa and armchair sit in front of the wood burning stove, while there are plenty of board games and musical instruments to keep those staying entertained. There is also a kitchen area, complete with combi-oven/grill, induction hob, toaster, fridge with ice compartment, and electric slow cooker. As well as essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar, salt, and pepper being provided, guests will also be greeted by a welcome hamper brimming with homemade and local produce; including bread, Welsh cakes, milk, butter, and homemade sloe gin.
In a hidden nook is the mezzanine bedroom with a double bed to sink into after a day’s exploring, that is accessed by a small wooden ladder. Finally, a separate bathroom is home to a shower and a flushing toilet, while there are electric lights and plug sockets throughout to ensure rural charm is mixed with modern amenities.
With so much beauty outside of the cabin it makes sense to make the most of it, with a rocking chair sitting on the veranda and a wooden bench in your piece of private woodland - the ideal spot for a morning coffee, or a spot of stargazing at night. For those who want to eat al fresco there is a barbecue and a wood-fired pizza oven, while the fire pit is great for cosying up beside when the temperature begins to drop.
There are many walks right on the doorstep and the hosts have kindly left an excellent guide in order to help. Head into Snowdonia and discover many hikes, picturesque waterfalls, and a host of wildlife - with badgers, deer, and owls often seen around the cabin itself. Also just a short drive away are Conwy and Denbigh Castles, as well as the Grade I listed and World Heritage Site, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
