The Detail...
Perfectly positioned in the woodland next to the Campbell’s farm is Woodland Chase Tree House. Offering up charming interiors, handcrafted furniture and more than a touch of luxury - with underfloor heating, a delightful welcome hamper and an outdoor hot-tub, it’s the perfect romantic escape.
Woodland Chase Tree House is idyllically nestled into a woodland glade with views out over the farmland and sea beyond. Inside, the tree house is warm and welcoming - and with underfloor heating and a lovely wood burning stove at its heart, it will remain perfectly cosy throughout your stay. The open plan living area is utterly charming with the interiors being perfectly styled alongside the nature that surrounds it - there’s even a tree that helpfully doubles as a coat rack. The impressive vaulted ceiling, emerald velvet Chesterfield sofa and soft William Morris rug all add a real slice of luxury. And with plenty of books and games to keep you amused - it’s the perfect place to cosy up next to the fire to enjoy some proper down time.
The handmade kitchen is simply beautiful with a large Belfast sink, a feature light fitting and lovely woodland views from the window. And the breakfast bar is the perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast or romantic supper. Well stocked with all the pots and pans you’ll need, there are also thoughtful touches with milk, butter, oil, loose Bari teas and Mocha Mondo coffee to get you started. And a wonderful hamper makes a great first impression - with local produce, eggs, handmade chocolates and prosecco, it really offers the warmest of welcomes.
The bedroom has the most stunning hand crafted bed at its centre. With relaxed styling, crisp Eygptian cotton bed linen and wonderfully luxurious textiles, it’s simply exquisite. And the remote controlled blind will make it as easy as possible for you to enjoy the woodland view as soon as you open your eyes.
The bathroom is smart and sleek with fabulous White Company toiletries and Christy towels and bathrobes. A real treat.
Outside is just as wonderful - step out onto the deck that is suspended amongst the trees. From here you can relax in the sheepskin draped loungers (made from old whisky barrels), enjoy dinner overlooking the pretty countryside views or indulge in the sunken wood-fired hot tub (complete with an innovative glass holder). And below deck there is a double swing and a firepit to keep things suitably toasty late into the evening.
The location is gorgeous. Head out on foot to explore the best of the area. The village of Felton is under a mile away and offers up river walks with pubs and eateries to try out en route. The Northumberland coastline is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - why not combine the great outdoors with history by heading to one of the local coastal castles. Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and Warkworth are all worth a visit - and they’re all under half an hour away by car. If history is your thing then Hadrian’s Wall is also close by, as is the historic market town of Alnwick. This pretty town boasts cobbled streets, a castle and beautiful gardens - it’s even been a filming location for both Harry Potter and Downton Abbey.
